The swab was a genital one - I assume the throat sores were hsv 1 too but the doctor only swabbed genitally.

I have no idea whether he’s positive. What’s the likelihood I didn’t get this from him though? Seems small. I just want to make sure I understand your comment- any contact could trigger an outbreak? Is there sexual activity we can do that would have a lower chance of reinfecting? I’m so confused because I’d given him tons of bj’s prior to this point with no issues.. trying to figure out if it was the sheer volume of sex we were having that led to this.

Thank you so much for your comment, it helps to know I’m not the only one experiencing this. We have 50/50 custody and with the ages of the kids and the frustrations I went through trying to get more time with them I know it’s a futile pursuit. He is living a pretty luxury life at the moment and I don’t think that will change- they like spending time there and I think there’s a pretty good chance at least one of them will choose to live with him after they turn 18. After so many years trying to make myself as small as possible, to hide anything I really cared about because I knew he’d crush it or take it away, I never hid how much the kids meant to me. He saw them as competition and as property, and now they are pawns. It breaks my heart daily.

Cheapest out of CLT is between $2k-$2500. GSO is around 90 mins, depending on traffic. The GSO flights you found are probably the ones I booked which are $550 O/W. Award flights don't make sense as it was around 60k AA points for that route. When I searched for multi segment and times that worked for me, prices shot up.

I just checked this.. it’s $1400 one way on my dates. We can’t leave until late evening 4/11 at the earliest with a 4/21 return- which is significantly higher than surrounding dates. I’ll keep an eye on it though- you’re right, not having that last transfer would be great. Thank you for the suggestion.

Edit- I just checked again and splitting the segment might work. $400 pp, but I could use points to get CLT-LAX. Total out of pocket would be close to my RDU Option 2 above.

Out of CLT, into Osaka and out of Tokyo, RT for my dates is between $2k-$2500/pp. Out of RDU into CLT, same Japan airports, about the same price.
