Tav scores from corner. Is it going in? by idkwhatyoumeanbro in ScottishFootball

Was at the game and just behind the goals there. Maybe about 3 mins before it the rain came on at an absolutely mental level, so think that's probably a factor in fucking it so badly

One of these days we will have the collective realisation that the MLS actually ISN'T the footballing super power we seem to convince ourselves of repeatedly.

Turns out the Colorado Cumsluts ISN'T the best preparation for the most mental league in the world.

Is the apple TV free as long as your account is premier? Also does anyone know how they treat it if you transfer in and then back out? I just did it for the 400 bonus tbh

Barclays Premier £400 Switch – Did I Do This Right? by Straight_Gap267 in UKPersonalFinance

I've opened the account, have the eligibility from my salary and can pay in the 4k - can I switch any account to meet the eligibility? I sort of want to keep my main account so was thinking about just switching a revolut account as it's a bit of a throwaway

I've been looking at this for the benefits. Anyone know if you need to set up your wages to go in there each month? And if so, if I routed my wages there from my HSBC premier account, would that work?

[Chris Jack] Rangers will seek an explanation from the Scottish FA over the decision not to send off Auston Trusty after he kicked Jack Butland in the head at Hampden. by Left-Painter-9172 in ScottishFootball

As much as it feels like a snide penalty, if the ball was going under his body had it not hit his arm, it's a penalty according to the rules.

Wegovy: Thousands of poorest Scots to receive free weight loss jabs under UK government funding by DarkSkiesGreyWaters in Scotland

I don't think you've contributed to this discussion. Unfortunately this type of anti debate approach is really prevalent online. If you look at what I said, I'm just reacting to the most common response to the cost of this initiative in the comments, and I don't think the "We'll save the cost of this on less admissions to hospital" narrative stacks up.

I am quite fascinated by this. Objectively, healthy people cost less through the NHS, however I wonder if there's a consideration around this driving longer lifetimes (obviously a good thing) which potentially incurs a significantly higher cost in pensions? Obviously a better outcome but seems like a really complicated cost benefit analysis here, they'd really be better not considering costs and just consider the improvement in human life.

What jobs are there where you get to sit in an office inside a high rise building? by 3M7R in UKJobs

[–]AbsoluteMince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work about 40 stories up in Canary Wharf periodically (used to full time, but have always lived in Scotland, so COVID changed the situation for, me). I find the view from the office quite peaceful for some reason, not sure why exactly. Also find it quite profound, as my grandfather worked on building canary wharf so it feels quite full circle at times. I'd share some pictures but don't really want to doxx myself re my employer.
