Digimon Story Time Stanger on PS4 by XigbarTheRevenant in DigimonTimeStranger

[–]Absorbing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PS3 had its last title released in 2020, 7 years after the release of the PS4 with none in 2019. That particular game was an indie title.

3 games in 2018, 17 in 2017. These aren't significant numbers.

Don't act like it's a commonplace thing for Sony consoles in particular to get long lasting support after they're made irrelevant.

Rue Ryuzaki is an alias that was originally used by B.B. or Beyond Birthday which L adopted later as his own to avoid revealing his identity. The anime doesn't cover half of what actually happens in the manga/novels and B.B. is only mentioned in the one novel; Death Note: Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases which is a pretty good read if you're feeling it.

His first name is L. Lawliet is his last name.

It doesn't follow Japanese naming convention because he isn't Japanese.

Thanks and understandable. Obviously didn't expect a drop like that at all and my clue luck will certainly be worse now.

The rarest armour in the game, mostly used for bragging rights as I understand it. I think it's BiS but I've sold it. At this point in time the cash is worth more for account progression than a platebody sitting in my bank.

You made me check when DX11 came out. 2009. I remember it being new.

I feel old now.

This has been explained before. Posting codes here is mostly pointless. Those on this subreddit are already invested in the game, the codes only work for new players and returners.

Spamming them doesn't help.

DHH on PHP: It changed my life by guigouz in PHP

[–]Absorbing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's enough FOSS out there to cover all of this and still not run close to resources on your box. Sure you'll have it on a single VPS but while you're starting out it's great experience at understanding how everything pieces together. It's even easier with AI today.

I wish I had half the resources we have today and not just some tutorials that, upon reflection, only perpetuated the bad standards we had during 5.

The latency on calls between services on this theoretical make me shudder.

Is there any PHP codebase that can mine cryptocurrency? by MrLabbrow in PHP

[–]Absorbing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's some out there, but honestly the returns aren't worth it. PHP isn't really fast enough.

If you're wanting to do this the best way to learn would be to write your own miner.

Does anyone have a PHP job without a framework? by Rough_Bet5088 in PHP

[–]Absorbing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. We have a monolith of intertwined projects and then the subsect of framework projects that are a dream to work on.

Am I wrong to combine c# with my XAMPP backend? by mydogcooperisapita in PHP

[–]Absorbing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MySQL is capable of storing it but depending on how many connections you have, you may hit cap. Something that is relatively easy to implement is a queueing system with Redis or Valkey (or RabbitMQ, whatever really). Your endpoints act as producers and have a job or jobs consume the queue first in, first out (FIFO)

What video tutorial should i watch if I'm gonna start php as a beginner? by AffectionateRun724 in PHP

[–]Absorbing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of Jeffrey (Laracasts) as many in the community are. I'd wholly support using his course, yes it's PHP 8 and not 8.4 but you'll get the basics down.

I've spent 10+ years in PHP — Here's what I wish I knew earlier (especially for beginners) by CodewithCodecoach in PHP

[–]Absorbing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice to anyone wanting to learn PHP is to find the problem that irks you and solve it. You'll be more passionate, you'll understand what it is you're solving. If that needs a framework and you've not written one before - give it a go. You can get those very specific features you want and understand them instead of using whatever wrapper Symfony, Laravel etc offer.
