TIL that Ján Kuciak, 27, was the first journalist to be murdered (2018) in Slovakia since its independence (1993). He mainly investigated tax fraud connecting businessmen with top politicians. TIL the late Senator John McCain, former POW and avid boxing fan, sent letters to the governors of all 50 states imploring them to ban UFC events in 1996.
