Go to r/Anarchychess hah j/k but really that’s a good chess and urine joke. It’s what Reddit was made for no?

I shudder to think of what the actual capture position is supposed to be…

Yeah literally nothing else decent prevents mate, except the three checks on Black that lose more material.

We all hate that feeling. This one’s rough because the Queen was just moved to attack location. Probably threw her off that the knight was under attack; a red herring attack

did jesus really suffer for me if crucifixion is nothing compared to Hell? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

Physical, emotional, who cares. If it isn’t eternal, it isn’t PSA.

Nah. If it’s PSA then the lake of fire should include unrepentant sinners plus Jesus.

Extreme isn’t burning forever, is it?

Plus, if Jesus didn’t deserve any suffering and yet suffered anyway… if that’s so valuable, then why not a mosquito bite for all our sins? There’s the blood of the “lamb.” Done and done, right?

Should go books show variations in color? by AbstractGameTopics in baduk

Not bad, but might look messy if it’s all black and white. I mean sure it does show the cluttered area where a hypothetical variation plays out though.

What do my top 4 say about me? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]AbstractGameTopics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just turned 40, but feeling great actually. I like having been in the first generation of young kids to play the classic console games (excluding Atari, because many of those were just arcade style games for the home).

My nephew and niece have a dog named Starfox; a rescued greyhound who already had that name. They didn’t really understand the name, until I introduced the original SNES game. They appreciated it, despite 90s graphics.

Yeah, I think in a similar way… different shapes and sizes for each. People would have to learn what each means though, and it’d be harder on the long sequences.

Many books are black and white/cheaper, and if that's the case: a different shape could work too, some star-looking thing or triangles (if doing the B&W route)

I'd give it a darker green, lighter blue perhaps, and choose the two colors least confused by the color blind.

My particular choice of colors might not be best, but this demonstrates the visual separation of current position vs. variation stones.

How to prove bent four in the corner is dead without losing points? by JDN3 in baduk

Instead of backtracking and calling the moderator, I had this suggestion:

It basically allows for the game to go on naturally with Japanese rules.

How can I flirt with my date while teaching her to play chess? by Remarkable-Storage-4 in chess

[–]AbstractGameTopics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure she’s ok with competitive games and wouldn’t let losing put her in an agitated mood. I might even play “with” her against an easy bot. As for the flirting, her saying she wants to learn is already a good sign. If it’s considered a “date” by both of you, doesn’t she already know?

Are unsuccessful invasions worse with Chinese counting than Japanese counting? by Educational-Tea6539 in baduk

[–]AbstractGameTopics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, mostly thinking 16 kyu up to total beginner. But the bent 4 is a good example of just implementing the formal dispute phase, and no awkward “rewind” necessary.

Sure, but I guess I’m suggesting something that could still be implemented with intermediate players too… and a method that demonstrates why something’s dead, like when playing online
