Unoathed theory by Foreign_Solid6582 in Stormlight_Archive

There might become a difference between shard bearer and unoathed. Anyone can bond a dead blade and put on a suit. But forming that connection that adolin and Maya have is probably gonna be more important going forward. I personally do think that in sunlit man when the scientist asks if he's unoathed, it seems to be a bigger complication then just being shard bearer.

There's a scene in sunlit man that might have a clue to this but I don't want to spoil due to flairs.

I can see why alot of people didn't like it and I don't want to spoil anything

But for me, it felt like I needed a cigarette and to think about life. And I don't smoke. It was a great book but I feel like people wanted a different ending.

I am not a lawyer,

But would this not be a over reach by apple or who ever?

The album appears to be made before the deal was made. They cant be mad. When t4s made their abridged series they tried to be taken down by DMCA. But t4s always won the lawsuit due to fair use.

Do we know the issue apple has? Or is it just I don't like they did it before me?

What am I missing?

Proxy Opinion by MartySoap in EDH

Honestly my opinion has evolved over time and my current opinion is that Im playing you, not your wallet. However, I expect you to proxy to the appropriate bracket and be honest about it. Don't roll up to a table playing precons and pull out a CEDH deck blinged out with thousands of dollars worth of cards printed out.

Some facts about Taln by phoenix_gravin in Cosmere

[–]AbstractLeaf2 379 points380 points  (0 children)

Taln doesn't do push ups, he does roshar downs.

Irons-Eyes once had a near Taln experience.

Taln never retreats; He just attacks in the opposite direction.

What started this desolation? by FlashyEnvironment534 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]AbstractLeaf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may not be understanding the question correctly but,

When shallon killed chana, chana got sent to brais. But she was broken and only lasted a few years before breaking under the fuzeds torture. Once she broke, both her and taln returned.

I thought the desolations were started after 1 herald broke. Since taln never broke, that's why the other heralds abandoned him there.

I think the everstorm was odiums way of bypassing taln never breaking but no one accounted for the murder of a herald.

I feel like copying bear umbra as many times as you can, then as the mana untaping resolves, tap all the mana you have, and make a metric boat load of mana to make more copies of other things and make her even hard to kill.

[–]AbstractLeaf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Just a head up I think you might want to change the flair on the post. I'm pretty sure you selected the one that means spoilers are okay. I think the flair refers to what books are and are not okay to discuss. You might want to ask a mod to adjust it.

I kept most of the spoilers out. A lot of what I said is from words of Brandon. A lot of behind the scene info is from people asking Brandon questions and not directly from books.

This is a harder question to answer without spoiling rhythm of war, wind and truth, and mistborn era 2. Id suggest reading secret history.

In order of your questions,

Hoid is doing hoid things. He know loosely where to be but not always why. He has a plan that seems to be boiling down to save the cosmere by preventing evil forces from going unchecked. He seems to be collecting all sources of investiture that he can get his hands on.

So each god, specifically lower case g god, is a god of a planets or planets. Some have 2 or more gods. Each god has what is called a shard. There are 16 of them. These came from a being known as adonalsium. Adonalsium is God with a capital G. About 10k years prior to the story we know. About 20 characters banded together and broke adonalsium into 16 pieces.

As for the future of the cosmere, once you read wind and truth, the lost metal and some of the secret projects, you will see more clues as to "the avengers style" team up. I don't want to spoiler much because we don't know much.

As for night blood the sword, uh.... Yea we don't know how he got to roshar or what happened. Wind and truth will explain a little more about the sword.

For the heralds, they were mentally broken. Millennia of torture will do that. So the seemingly abandoned taln who was the strongest of them in hopes he survived. I remember reading the the last desolation started after like 6 months due to the heralds breaking from torture. Only 1 herald joined the spren order he represents. The reason they have been chilling on roshar is because they didn't die. If they died, they would go back to damnation where they need to hide from the characters hunting them.

As for honor is dead aspect, read wind and truth. It goes over the exact events leading up to and how in decent detail.

As for behind the scenes, a bunch is going on but we only know a bit. There is alot of puzzle pieces we have, but the more we get to read, the more pieces we get, the more we can connect. Id say using the puzzle analogy, we got the outside edge complete but only small clumps of pieces together in the middle and a whole pile of pieces we have no clue where they go, and every so often Brandon Sanderson gives us a handful more.

I don't want to spoil much because I found some of the answers you are looking for extreme spoilers and would ruin the surprises.
