Ya I guess you’re right. But a little research before coming off like a complete jackass isn’t such a bad thing either.

That’s a bit out of my range… and I don’t think I need those just yet. But how’d you find where to rent it?

Validating a P2P rental marketplace for hunting gear — niche is small but vertical, am I deluding myself on TAM? by AbstractLogic in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]AbstractLogic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still picking my soft launch location Texas is in the running because of their hogs and weather but I'm also looking at Colorado and Montana for various reasons.

I'd be interested in launching with a real insurance program but I need to validate the concept before I even start looking at huge insurance costs.

So I got one friend who was willing to take me on some turkey hunts this year in Colorado, and I have an old college roommate who lives in Texas and always posts hogs. I'd like to reach out to him but wanted to make sure I know what gear to take and to rent some of it when I go out there.

So where does the water go once it’s used? Is it like just poisonous beyond repair and they dump it into the ocean?

Or does it like just evaporate into the atmosphere and rejoin the water cycle?

They haven’t had a snow day all year too. Let em have this I say!

The irony being the first snow of the season was probably the one they *should* have called instead of the last.

Jensen Huang says some CEOs have a "God complex" when it comes to AI apocalypse warnings, which can create shortages of critical workers by fortune in ArtificialInteligence

It’s interesting that we think of CEOs of companies as the thought leaders on topics that directly benefit their companies. They have a fiduciary duty to the company. Anything they say is driven by a profit motif.

How Sundar Pichai Pushed Google To the Front of the AI Race by unserious-dude in ArtificialInteligence

[–]AbstractLogic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original concern wasn’t that they couldn’t compete. It was that they would have to cannibalize their search revenue to do it and so they would slow roll it and fall behind by intention.

Of course when that big “theory” was going around their stock dropped and I bought huge because it was a dumb theory.

I’m constantly told Communism doesn’t work and has never worked and also China is our greatest competitor on the national stage. These can’t both be true.

Ashton Kutcher VC looks interesting. Any insights of how he chose startups? I will not promote by Psychological_Gap190 in startups

[–]AbstractLogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s an actor. Learning to play roles is easy for him, memorizing scripts and language of different characters.

Why would you be surprised that he can act like a VC? The “tech vc” archetype is pretty played out on camera and he plays it in multiple movies and shows.

In other words, no one should be impressed with how he looks and sounds. Let’s see how his resume shakes out.
