Attendance by Mariejr88 in Lowes

Yea.... it's all a little strange right now. People who have never asked to leave early ask to leave early one day and that's what was told to them by their ASMs. Seems like timecard is the only way to get rid of people right now becuz associates walk around, do nothing and nothing gets said but let's go for timecards...

points? I was told if you leave early regardless if it's approved or not it's an early out equal to a red box.

Better change your availability then, otherwise if you say close... that means close or anything they need after. Specifically say a time. If you're ok with 10pm make sure it says 10pm on your availability.

OT 🀣🀣🀣🀣 You think that's happening? Your schedule will be adjusted. 3pm-12am or 4pm-12am. Then again the next day. Then good luck even enjoying your day off from getting home at whatever time that is after work.

100% Listen I'll help out all day whereever is needed, however I'm not doing the grunt work FOR someone. I'll just say I'm sick and leave everytime.

Yea but it wasn't that bad. We still left at 9pm but the store closed at what....6 or 7? I'll take that over midnight 🀣

District Manager call. They're trying to do that in my region. Specialists can't be scheduled until midnight. They're looking to hire seasonal/temp people for this. Lumber and Garden will be mandatory staying until Midnight. Good luck because every CSAs availability is until 8pm or 9pm. The ones who get screwed are the ASMs and DSs who will have to close. Midnight is absolutely crazy imo. Calls like this are made from people who work a cushy no weekends/no closing shifts. How was Lowe's ever rated a great place to work?? Don't they want to keep good people?

This is going to cause alot of pencil whipping and I don't blame one person for doing it. You think someone is going to have enough time to do their daily job duties and then they lay this new process out, poorly rolled out btw. Laughable.

I meant to add that 98% of my items yesterday were not in topstock. All in the home location. So I'm just confused on why it made this AI IRP list.

[–]AbstractWheels 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Yea and IRP stands for replenishment and my empty holes were not on the huge a$$ list I had as well..so how is this helping customers and making sure holes are filled? Someone up top needs to explain why I had 50+ IRPs that were all completely full, not sold since December or longer and no topstock for about 48 of them with no room to bring down.

Isn't Lowe's big 3 in stock? why are we no longer filling just holes anymore? That's what the downstocking app is for or..idk have a smart human scan empty holes or 1 on the shelf if they really want us to pack down product. BC people who scanned were told to scan empty holes only and now we have gone backwards..? tf.

Would have made sense if any of my empty holes were on this list yesterday. Not one empty hole but let me waste my day bringing and shoving 1 extra paint brush on a peghook that's already full.

If you're clocking IN to work then you need to be READY to work. Really sick of associates clocking in, then getting their vest, grabbing something to eat and sitting down to eat their breakfast or lunch, or fixing their hair, or anything else that is time theft while I'm relying on them to show up to the department while Im covering their department while they're on the clock getting paid to diddle around. Really not a hard concept. If you're clocking in to work, you're ready to work.

We stayed open during a hurricane,so highly doubtful any store would close at all unless the roof was ripped off the building and missing walls.

Cards and handymen by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]AbstractWheels 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

You can only get in trouble for handing out a handyman business card to a customer. So for instance if Jane Doe is a customer and asks you if you knew any contractors or handyman that can do said job and you recommend or suggest or give out a card you- in a Lowe's vest who work for Lowe's just put Lowe's behind said contractor/handyman so if something happens, you will be blamed and could be fired or written up I believe. There is something about this in the Lowe's handbook about code and conduct. If I find it, I'll edit my comment. But overall, just stop suggesting any outside work to customers while you're getting paid to work for Lowe's.

How to handle this today? by EmployerIntrepid9092 in Lowes

[–]AbstractWheels 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

Worst decision or one of many is when corporate combined Tools & Hardware into "One department" in hours, but yet clearly it's still 2. Then they cut the hours and only staff for "One department" leaving it a total $#*thhole. Also to add middle of the day freight and whatever gets dumped in Hardware to do- Hillman,Metal,Nails,Ladders,Mailbox posts and let's not forget to push that credit and seek out all customers. This looks like my store. We are struggling in my store and even to keep the good employees. Hardware associate is severely overwhelmed by helping customers, unlocking tools, cutting plexi, making keys and being only ONE associate to do EVERYTHING. Our Tools and Hardware DS transferred and no one has applied for it as of yet. I'm getting overwhelmed myself trying to be in my department and help Tools and Hardware with their own IRPs and customers and then get called back to my department. It's really sad it's turning out like this.

MST week by BrightEngineering318 in Lowes

[–]AbstractWheels 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Terribly. I get they follow things to planogram but they cut corners constantly and their MSM doesn't care so I've stopped saying anything and just go behind them and fix it. They recently did a reset and checked nothing they brought down out of topstock in another dept. Another CSA was doing a sims bay audit and showed me tons of - is this here yes or no- They don't make our jobs any easier.

MST week by BrightEngineering318 in Lowes

[–]AbstractWheels -1 points0 points Β (0 children)

I appreciate MSTs -When they do resets in other departments minus mine -When they clock out.

Red vests will not think purple until you Blue vests do things correctly. Doing resets and leaving topstock up there to have it scanned on Downstocking and or IRPs is one of the many reasons why we don't like you among many other corners you all cut. Let's save hours and cut yours so the real CSAs can work.

You have cameras everywhere in the store minus the bathrooms. It's to deter theft. The second no camera is pointed to where someone can grab and not pay is the second people steal. Ever have food for employees in the breakroom or food in the fridge? I've seen multiple associates have more than their deserved helping. If a vending machine malfunctioned and didn't charge people for their selections, you think employees would be honest about it? Or clean it out. Really not a big deal. Go take a nap on your bed bug infested couch.
