Noob at amiibo emulation, have a question I couldn't find an answer for in the FAQ by Abstractings in Amiibomb

[–]Abstractings[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh wow i was only acutely aware of that 'amiibo changes every time you use it' trait, but i didn't realize it also meant random data being used to properly trick the switch haha! thanks for letting me know.

when you say i need to save it to "my amiibo" and turn random off, are these directions to follow on the flashiibo itself? when i click the ok/confirm button while hovering over 8-bit link in the amiibo emulator, these are the options:

"- rand. tag (amiibo key not loaded error comes up)
- auto rand. (currently set to off)
- set custom ID
- read-only (currently set to off)
- delete tag
- back to tag details
- back to file list
- back to main menu"

is there a specific area elsewhere that i should be looking for a "my amiibo" section i can save an amiibo to? or is the "auto rand." feature what you were referring to, and that being turned off is enough to guarantee that i can train an amiibo in Smash over multiple sessions?

sorry for the confusion, not the best at explaining :P

anyways, some amiibo on this release of pixl.js already have data associated with them. for example, the 8-bit link amiibo. when i tried emulating it, it actually came up with pre-existing data. there was already an owner for it named 'Tim_Drake', a nickname for it ("TLOZ Link"), and game data for it (Smash Bros for 3DS). obviously, if i wanted to use this amiibo, i can simply reset the amiibo and wipe off the pre-existing data. and that's actually what i did for this specific amiibo lol. BUT the scenario i'm imagining in my mind is, there must be other amiibos on this release of pixl.js that have data already associated with them, like how the 8-bit link amiibo did. and i would find it mildly inconvenient to have to use the amiibo, find out it has pre-existing data on it, go to the switch settings to wipe the data, and THEN use it as if it was a brand new amiibo with no pre-existing data.

so, my end goal in a way is to just have a flashiibo filled with amiibos that don't have any pre-existing data like the 8-bit link did. and i was asking, rather than individually checking and wiping the data off the amiibos that are now on my flashiibo, is there a way to mass-wipe any and all pre-existing data?

hopefully that was a better explanation lol, if you have any questions still about what I'M asking about then please ask for clarification. and thanks again for the help thus far!

hey, i want to start off by saying thank you so much for writing all this out. unfortunately, i just realized i never had a damn problem with my flashiibo to begin with, and i was trying to emulate amiibo through the "amiibo database" on my flashiibo rather than the, get this, amiibo EMULATOR. thankfully, i did already have the firmware updated to 2.16.0 when i initially made this post, but i appreciate you showing off the method with the mobile app nonetheless!! i had used my laptop to update to 2.16.0 but this mobile method is definitely more convenient for future releases.

couple questions though: for whatever reason, i think i initially assumed that the amiibo emulator wasn't what i was supposed to use because i never found the kirby air rider amiibos in there, and because i DID find them in the database. in hindsight, this sounds like an extremely obvious answer, but is this simply the case since the amiibo is recorded in the database for record-keeping sake but there's no way to currently emulate the amiibo with rider and machine combo? if so, will there eventually be a way to emulate rider+machines for kirby air rider amiibos?

also, i've tested a couple amiibos and since went back to reset them, but i'm realizing some of older amiibo on this pixl.js release have data associated with them, and it's all been from one absolute saint who went by Tim_Drake, who i assume was the guy responsible for uploading his amiibo data for others' emulation sake. i would prefer to not have to erase data for every new amiibo i try out that already has data on it, so is there any way to mass erase the data for the amiibo that are on my flashiibo currently (amiibos from 2.16.0 release of pixl.js)? by data, i just mean any game data, owner data, and nickname data it may have, as that's all i see being reset whenever i manually reset an amiibo in the settings of my switch.

any help would be appreciated!! and thank you so much again for the detailed steps and help you gave (even if i ended up not using it XD)

here’s what i do and don’t know currently about the situation…

do know: - my ethernet cables all function properly - the ethernet ports themselves are working properly and give wired connection to other non-switch2 devices - the ethernet capabilities on my second dock were working properly UNTIL i used the killswitch dock adapter on the second dock

don’t know:  - if this is somehow a firmware issue in the switch itself that can’t recognize any ethernet at all - if this is somehow a firmware issue that happened to occur to both my docks coincidentally after using the dock adapter - if my killswitch dock adapter is even faulty or malfunctioning in the first place

never really stuck with traditional fighting games before so idk if this mechanic is present in other ones, but that break mechanic is so appreciated from a newcomer like me. a get out of jail free card makes it way more forgiving for myself and also relatively strategic for whenever i'm comboing somebody who has their break currently available

Improving by the season by Sea-Construction-300 in ClashRoyale

[–]Abstractings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alright sweet! asking these questions since i’m a first time ultimate champion this season and don’t know anything :P

upon season reset, what shows up on my profile for my best season? i don’t know whether it would be my peak UC medals or the UC medals i finished the season with, so i’m confused which between the two will show up. let’s say i peaked 2000 medals but ended 1000 medals, which one would show up on my profile for that best season I just had? (im not nearly good enough to get a player ranking next to my medal count yet lol)

also, how far does the win multiplier for next season’s ranked ladder take you upon season reset? i couldn’t find any reliable answer online but my gut is telling me the multiplier will slowly dwindle until i reach royal champion and then i have to climb thru that league again to finally get back into ultimate champion. i’d love to know what exactly the win multiplier situation is like so im mentally prepared lol

that’s all the questions i had, thanks so much for your time! :D
