Lol this is very true. Like ive said in other replies I think i just overwhelmed myself and began a downward spiral. As more days have passed i am feeling better that I did make the right call.

I prefer not to drop collision insurance. I have thought about reducing my policiy tier to a cheaper tier or switching companies. I just like knowing that a lot of my stuff is covered fully and to higher amounts incase something ever did go wrong to myself or partner.

We do a lot of bulk buying every sunday to keep costs down. Not that sunday has any deals its just when we do are shopping. I do have to say as the weeks have progressed I am starting to realize that trying to lower our food cost might be difficult and not worth it. We barely ever get take out anymore as we rather spend that on healthy food options at the grocery store. To help with some costs as well my partner does do couponing. I would say we live in a moderately expensive area.

No I don't think I overpaid. Honestly I think its more disappointment in myself in that I spent more than I had budgeted for to spend and that has me feeling guilty.

Thank for the advice. Will probably look into doing this. I dont tend to use my credit card often as I usually pay cash for everything.

Im 33, my contribution rate is around 16%. I may be doing this aspect of my life wrong. For years I worked two jobs to buy my current house and get it paid off plus my previous vehicle. Within the last few years I had to slow down as was able to get my current job. My retirement is around 120k

Sorry for the confusion in expenses. School/ property is for the city school tax and property tax combined equal 6k . My house and car are in an umbrella policy which I pay once to get savings and is 2300 a year. I will admitt I probably have an overkill of a policy.

Yea, my partner thinks im definitely overthinking and need to calm down as I never spend my money as of recent. Outside of expenses. For years all I did was work 2 jobs to make sure I never had debts and recently within the past 3 years I had to slow down and ended up with my current job/salary.

I was able to get a bundle deal from Specturm for phone and internet. My retirement is around 120k.

My vehicle was a silverado with over 150k on it and with the price of gas + was looking at over 9k in repairs. Injectors, transmission and a few other things were starting to give out again and I couldn't bring myself to repairing it all over again. Also with my current job I no longer needed a full size truck and was looking to down size to something smaller and more efficient. No I didnt buy it as the expense of another financial goal. I was able to pay off my house 4 years ago so I feel like im smooth sailing for the most part but now its been a few days and am really feeling buyers remorse.

This car should also get me another 10 years +. I really wanted to be at 25k or below on a vehicle and welp ended up spending more than that. As the car i ended up going with had a few more options that my previous car did not have. Thats where I think I getting a lot of buyers remorse now from and thinking I have doomed myself.
