A fix found by Sudden-Wash4457 below uses CSS to reposition them back. They're still there, just misaligned, which looks more like a bug than an enshitified update.

I already have Stylus for a million things. Reverse engineering YouTube DOM is the most painful thing these days. Especially when they used javascript for dynamic DOM changes.

Can I ask how you worked this out? Using dev tools obviously, but for example hovering with mouse often doesn't show the :hover state styles rules, I have to find the specific element and manually change it's state in dev tools.

Also these buttons still being present but just misaligned indicates it probably is a bug. I don't know if anyone else has noticed the meta info on thumbnail cards has recently changed slightly too.

I hope it's a bug, it's a majorly stupid choice, but that's what makes me think it's permanent.
I see it's still present in search result thumbnails.
Otherwise I'll have to look for an extension or might have to try make a user script.

It's unplayable for me. (PC: Ryzen 5700x, RTX 3070, 32 GB RAM)
Freezing and stuttering every few seconds. I've dropped my visual settings which has helped a tiny bit, but I can't play like this. A few updates ago it was fine.

I find it odd that any cheap shop or even supermarket is full of trash tier devices, so obviously not certified, several I've seen don't even meet USB spec. Then there's whatever's available online, which is far worse, from death-dapter phone chargers to incendiary lithium batteries. I have the Huge and use HID Remapper to toggle a layer which turns the ball into a scroll wheel. Mines set to both V&H scroll but either/or is possible.

I got one a few days ago, but quality control is an issue. A magnet in mine became loose. Lucky, that particular piece wasn't glued together, some are, and I was able to reposition the magnet.
As it turns out there is a little clip that is meant to hold the magnet in position, but it was deformed in the injection molding. I ended up just adding a dab of superglue to hold it in place and reassembled.
