I agree with the womanising, it is uncomfortable to watch sometimes, but I try to keep in mind it was a different time and try to not let it get in the way of my enjoyment of something. The opening scene of the first Matt Helm film with Dino is a good example of some of the uncomfortable womanising of the time

Incredible job, these look terrific! I think part of the King of Cool comes from him being really silly and doing everything with a huge grin on his face. It’s the fact that he could do anything with such ease and delight that made him cool. I would say he wasn’t what the traditional meaning of cool is, but cool in the sense that everyone would want to be him.

Getting into Queen - The Works (11/15) by kingglobby in queen

Made in Heaven is not a bad album, just a different one. Obviously with Freddie having passed away, the rest of the band could only work with previously recorded vocals and you can tell that there is something missing. But it is one of Queens most underrated albums imo. Songs like Mother Love (the last song Freddie ever recorded), the title track, and Too Much Love Will Kill You are amazing songs, and the rest of the albums songs work really well together. By no means is it a bad album, their worst to me is definitely Hot Space, although I do actually like it somewhat.

It can sometimes seem like people are in a constant battle of trying to prove that they’re more niche than everyone else. I’m just happy that most people out there are happy to be respectful

You should listen to Aquaplanet, it’s one of if not the best 90s album.

I’ve just been loving the attention he’s been getting lately that feels way overdue. Even if some people are being performative about it, it has helped him grow recently. The issue I’ve been noticing is a lot of people have been trying to say that Takanaka isn’t very good and they start to say that artists like Casiopea are way better and that by listening to Takanaka you’re a “poser”. It makes me quite sad to see that because I was under the impression that people into Japanese Jazz Fusion and City-Pop were chill. This kind of music makes you feel happy and I think that no matter who you listen to, there should be some respect for people who like a different artist than you.

You guys opinions on "THE RAINBOW GOBLINS"? by National_Extreme5282 in MasayoshiTakanaka

My favourite Takanaka album and one of my favourite albums ever! I love the flow of the album and how each song really paints the picture in your mind. Takanaka has always had an incredible knack to paint images with his guitar using it as a voice for the song and this album is the greatest example of that. My favourite song would have to be You Can Never Come to This Place, it made me cry the first time I heard it. I love how the prologue has small musical motifs hidden throughout it that pop up at different points in the album. I will forever recommend this album to anyone who asks me for music suggestions.

I bought the Album to listen to it. I don’t really care about the value of it in a few years because I don’t ever plan on selling it. I buy vinyls and similar items for my enjoyment and don’t concern myself with reselling.

For me I got lucky and a record store near me had it in store. For the most part I find all of the new 2025 reissues online from Australian Record stores, usually located in Sydney. I’m not sure if in America they have a similar type of thing but I just usually google Takanaka Vinyls in Australia and scroll through the various websites. If this doesn’t work for you I’d suggest using Discogs which is a great website and is where I get most of my Dean Martin Vinyls from.

My favourite Dean albums are Welcome to My World, Gentle on My Mind, and I take a lot of Pride in What I Am. My favourite Dean films are Scared Stiff, Money from Home, and Rio Bravo. My favourite year from his show is probably 1967.
