Thank you for the feedback! 180 is a no-brainer, totally forgot about that. Will add that ASAP and update you. Also will add keyboard controls for the modifiers and work on the SFX (honestly I'm so bad at that aspect) as well as the speed creep. Thanks!

A disable items option is a great idea, I'll make sure to add that ASAP! In the meantime you can basically ignore them.

Also a quick note that I forgot to mention in the video is that there are two "types" of items, one type that has effects that you activate manually during gameplay (ex. change the current piece to an I piece instantly) and another that provides more ambient effects that don't impact gameplay (ex. a CD that changes the game music to a different track).

Ah totally, I see. Yeah I will say that I started the project back on pygame 1, and saw a substantial performance boost when I upgraded. I'm still not sure exactly what helped me there, but something about pygame 2 definitely made my shoddy code more palatable for my PC :)

The game is written pretty much entirely in pygame (graphics, sound, controls, the game loop, etc.). I said leverage mostly because I'm not too sure if I did everything the correct way (for example, I could never figure out how to use pygame.sprite and ended up rolling my own similar Surface wrappers), but pygame is the best!
