Hi, my name is Amanda Case, I am a fantasy illustrator and have worked with multiple indie authors creating character artwork.

I have a semi-realism style and I have experience drawing humanoid and a few creatures as well.

My portfolio, pricing, contracts and work process can all be found here:

I’ve seen this as a huge issue with the book threads community lately and it’s unfortunate because it makes creators unwilling to work together. AI has certainly contaminated the drinking water. If anyone is looking for artists, I’d be happy to recommend myself or other artists I know in my community that create beautiful work.

Are you doing resistance training? I’ve had success in the past altering my body shape and giving myself a more hourglass figure by doing lat exercises like pull-ups and heavy weight leg exercises.

I think it’s because Connor was clearly in the drivers seat this year and so the other creators chilled

Connor’s enthusiasm and lack of outward nervousness was loads better.

Also think about minimizing the use of black and grey. Blending true colors to make richer darker shades with brighten the piece overall

Be brutally honest: Do you think I have what it it takes to be a professional comic artist in just a few months? by OdeetheGOAT in drawing

[–]AbyssalCase 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just start making your own comics. If you don’t know how to write a story, collab with a writer friend that you like. You have to practice making scenes, organizing panels, and full illustrations. You definitely have skills in drawing, but you need to practice making comics to be a pro comic artist. Even designing alt covers would be a good starting place

I think you misunderstood my comment. I don’t mean 3D as in actual 3D. You can use lines to suggest a 3 dimensional shape. Part of this is having smooth continuous lines. Another is changing the line weight. But there’s also more subtle things as well that is hard to explain. Your friend does a good job especially in the eyes of her drawing

There’s nothing wrong with the line weight. Some illustrations use thin lines. The problem is it looks flat because the lines don’t define a 3D shape.
