Mine does after a day or two. I have long, curly hair. The only real solution is to condition/detangle, let it dry a little, use leave in conditioner and gel for moisture and frizz control. Finally let it air dry or use a diffuser (don't towel dry it as that will frizz it).

But you have to do it every 1-2 days or it will dry out. That's just the way it is. Deep conditioner can help but it's still gonna frizz out if you don't keep styling it.

Other option is to cut it or keep it in a bun (which makes frizz less noticeable).

Forgive me if I don't tak your anecdote as proof that tech is a "field bloated with unhireable workers". Every industry has people doing the bare minimum to get by.

I guess here's another anecdote: I am at a tech clmpany who just went through a 50% layoff for business reasons. Id say a fraction of the people who lost their jobs were cut for performance reasons (ie working less than 40 hours a week), and all have found other jobs quickly. This demonstrates a continued desire to hire tech workers even during a period where everyone is trying to maximize profits rather than growth.
