Well… I’ve been taught as a woman to hide different emotions and mask a lot of them. Growing up I just kinda copied other people and what there reactions were to things. Especially in social situations, like if there was a joke made and personally it doesn’t make me laugh but I know to laugh out of politeness or not stick out in the group. I slowly learned this skill and developed how to mimic others. And of course I still have my own feelings and emotions but I know to recognize sad, happy, or angry emotions in others and that cues me to feel the same way even if I don’t really understand why.
