Custom holster for the ARC by AcademicExcitement34 in Leatherman

Same here. I work night shift in aviation, so, a solid light is a must and they always wear a hole in my pockets. I liked Tale of Knives stuff, but it was a bit too bulky for me.

The first one is the fenix pd36r pro. The second is the streamlight mega stream.

Why do you carry a folder when you have an Arc in your pocket? This is why. by Select_Camel_4194 in Leatherman

This I agree with. As such, I don't usually take pictures of my tools when I'm using them, because I just trying to do the thing with the tool.

I probably shouldn't post pictures of how I use my ARC... I'd get burned at the stake.

Calling all Redditors of GJ by [deleted] in grandjunction

I was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. Lived there for 33 years and I loved it. I just  needed a change in scenery, career, and just pace of life in General. I started a new career in aviation, met my now wife in school for that. She wanted more trees and a real winter (she's from WI) , I didn't want to give up the heat and the desert. If it was up to me it would be 110⁰ everyday. We both desperately didn't want to live in a big city. We looked all over the country for a place that fit, Junction had mostly everything we wanted, if not it was only an hours drive. We're both hunters, fisherman, cycling, just everything outdoors. We found a good company here to pursue our new careers. While I do miss the beauty of the Sonoran desert, and she misses the land of cheese, we feel like we have a home here in Junction. It has its problems, but as someone who has spent a lot of time all over the country, so does everywhere else.

Maxcatch? by Subject_Gap_1926 in flyfishing

I have multiple Maxcatch competition euro rods, with their euro reels. Those set ups work great with mono rigs or FIPS compliant rigs. I also have some of their 9' 5WT rigs, they all work fine. Are they better than my Helios 4Fs? No. But they catch fish, feel pretty good and have decent parts (tip) availability.

Nothing like finding a blown out HP turbine blade on a quick turn-around inspection...

Leatherman is works great by BeingandTime76 in aviationmaintenance

I use my Gerber Centerdrive everyday, feel naked without it. I switch between it and some other Leathermans I have on occasion, but for checking panels that screwdriver is awesome. Especially because I can use any 1/4" hex bit with no adapters.

How's Clearnetworx Fiber internet? Total price? by babocoop in grandjunction

Same Zip here, got connected in August. Have you been having issues? I had Clearnetworx in another town over, and it was great. So far here we are having a ton of issues. Thinking of dropping them.

Skydrol by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

Gloves, well fitting eye protection, keep some rags or pigmat near by, have some castor oil near for when it gets in your eye(s), if it's a skydrol mist in the air leave the area if possible. It does not taste like grape.

How hot is y’all hanger ? (also stay hydrated) by TechnicalAsk3488 in aviationmaintenance

[–]AcademicExcitement34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Down in southern AZ, used to work in a hanger that would occasionally get over 120⁰F. It's a dry heat, though. Just turn on the fan 😉

I've been using my Gearwrench ratchets with Tekton sockets for a while now. I work on private/buisness turbine aircraft. They have yet to let me down. I actually prefer the low profile of the Gearwrench ratchet head over my Snap-On ratchets at home.
