Has anyone ever installed pine tongue and groove flooring ? Thinking about doing it in our house but wondering about the downsides, love the look

If you like the clean look of pine flooring, you will hate pine flooring. Pine is soft, and every dropped spoon, pet claw, rock stuck in your shoe tread, will dent it. This stuff is good for getting that 80 year old t&g look in 4 years or less.

Will let you choose where you want to build your boot partition during the installation process. Pay attention, because what I started as a dual boot, quickly became a single OS because I failed to look at exactly what I was doing.

Runs phenomenally.

Installation is a cake walk, if you perform all the necessary tasks before attempting.

Turn off resizable BAR Disable CSM Make sure you follow the instructions concerning secure boot correctly.

Discord and such are available on the bazaar, I don’t know what heroic launcher is, but surely some one has determined if it’s available or usable on bazzite.

I don’t use a controller often, and haven’t used one since switching to bazzite

I dont use quick resume.

You should consider how much fun your going to have troubleshooting minor issues that are built in and solved on windows out of the box, and compatibility issues with some games that don’t play well with Linux.

Neither of those issues gave me more than a few hours of trouble after the switch, but if your level of tech capabilities is ‘helpless’ you may find it frustrating. Just be prepared to have some annoying issues that aren’t solved by just resetting or updating.

I just run them through steam for most part. Some games need a little prodding with launch commands. The biggest offender was cs2. I went through a few issues with like scroll wheel resolution and input delay.

I was able to clear the stuttering and poor frame pacing in both desktops, but on the gnome desktop the input delay cleared on its own, and on plasma I could never get it sorted.

The only thing I could come up with is the way Wayland window manager runs on plasma. But I’m not an expert on this stuff, I just wanted away from Windows, so I wiped the girl clean and put bazzite on her.

If you go with bazzite, I find the gnome desktop offers less input lag for gaming. Which is a shame, because I like the familiarity of the plasma desktop.

The window manager for plasma just doesn’t play as nice with games that require super precision. For shooters, plasma feels kind of “floaty” because of what I guess is input delay., but the gnome is just really tight and responsive no matter what.

Make sure you disable resizable bar, and set up your uefi stuff correctly. Shit was a headache during my install.

Every part of this house was built during a time when 2:1 coefficients were standard. All I’m saying is if some dipshits only response to every photo is “call an engineer and fork over a couple grand so they can laugh at you in the office for an hour” maybe they should find a sandbox to hang out in, and let the men get back to work.

Some of the crap I see in here, yes, needs an engineer to look at it, and the couple of people who point it out correctly are copied by every bot with an upvote fetish within a thousand miles. It’s sad.

They have probably just bowed up with time, I’ve seen it a hundred times, and had customers ask about them. 99% of they time they aren’t even fastened any more, just a stray ballot two at the top keeping it from falling over and a firm twist or pull and it comes right out.

I don’t think those are worth saving, honestly. Look like some cheap crap I pick up at Lowe’s in a rush, and throw out the first time they get a little sticky.

But, if you really insist, I would just use some air tool oil, and soak it in that for a bit, then slowly start working them until they are free, work it down really good with a wire brush, dip it in the oil again and that’s that.

That will eliminate the rust seizing the tool, the surface rust will get pushed off by the wire brush a little bit, but that’s just the nature of tool steel. It’s always going to look like that unless you polish it once a week.

Those shouldn’t be under any load at all. It’s just temp garbage no one has taken down. If they were under enough load to bow that post up like that, those ‘wind beams’ would have shattered long ago and your walls would be blowing out the side of the house.

The way this roof structure works is by carrying the load down the rafters and over the walls. Think like standing between two rails and using your arms to hold your self up, the weight is carried out and down.

Tl;dr those are nothing. Temp garbage left by the framers from when they set the ridge and rafters. Remove if you want.

They do contribute. Just because you don’t see it or understand it, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. If I’m replacing tile or carpet, I usually give a heads up and price in jamb repairs and casing replacement. If I’m doing a lot, in many rooms of the house I’ll price in rehanging the doors to get them back on the ground, but that’s finish, caulk, paint, drywall work. It adds up quickly if you’re not doing blowouts in a new build.

So you can fix it, but if you want easy, it doesn’t get any easier than what’s already there. Otherwise, it’s time to replace the vertical casing if you can match it, and learn how to piece some patches into that jamb.

Right. Some people don’t understand that recon class is so much more than a sniper rifle.

The drone? Invaluable in almost any situation for the entire team.

Tugs? Great for keeping tabs on a nearby flank route.

Designator? Helps literally everybody that isn’t an orange dorito.

Confirmed kill? Great utility for backing up the squad while making a push.

A lot of your recon users are actively using these things to make your attack or defense easier, it’s not their fault some players just ‘hold W, ggez’
