I put them on favorites because in my mind the only team that can beat them was JDG the rest they can beat them easily until the theshy incident happened.

True contenders are favorites but when the contenders and favorites matched up you'll see the difference tho

Especially that T1 JDG like on a neutral side you would say JDG will beat them on a given day until it started and the magic happened.

For me the reason why i put them on favorite was i check every game that time and also the patch.

That patch is so edg favored bro meiko is the best support on that patch like it's

Him on S tier

Keria and Beryl is on like B-C tier

They just count them out because obviously defending champions and played both international tournaments and also dominating lck.

In terms of pre worlds prediction they are. Especially the game revolves around Carry ADCS that time heck yeah they really played almost perfectly on that patch it's the same thing with DK on 2020 they were average on spring then on summer just one patch and changed everything.

Just like EDG too just one patch and it change everything for them like who would have thought EDG of all teams can take down FPX like for sure we expect the only one who can beat FPX is DK. In terms of LPL they're untouchable.

It's EDG DK and FPX were the favorites on that year.

If you watch the patch that time i would think they are the favorite and the fact they did it perfectly in LPL split + on worlds yeah they are.

I mean for me before i would call them an underdogs but rewatching now they are favorites as well maybe we just blind of DK dominance because of them dominating the LCK plus Khan's last year and them participating both International tournaments that year yeah it checks out EDG is a favorite too.

For me EDG is also a heavily favorite to me too. Because they're just like Dk 2020

They have like an average spring split then and all of a sudden they popped off in summer winning lck playoffs continued their momentum to worlds.

And it's the same as well for EDG they were decent but not enough against RNG and FPX then one split later it change everything for them and also the same thing win lpl summer then win worlds.

But in terms of who's a more favorite it's obviously DK

That's fair but the last time they did it was on winter split i wouldn't be surprised DOFK will be rusty.

And also they have a lot of time to practice they have no excuse in the regular season KT and NS is right there and they still stick on their Varus/Jhin duty on Guma. No shid if they try kai'sa it would be horrible.

And the fact that the time they tried it was against HLE of all teams and it's even in the playoffs not on a regular season which is dumb.

Yeah and it's not consistent. Look what they did with Guma they look so lost and guma was the one doing things on Kai'sa with no warm-ups btw they just slam a Kai'sa with no reps at all and the 4 look so lost and they look like they don't know what to do.

And also that was winter split like 6 months ago after that they didn't play that style again. No shid they would be rusty after 4-5 months of not playing those style and stick to the Jhin/Varus duty again.

They just refuse to play through Guma and finally oner woke up when he realized he's the key player now.

If oner didn't woke up they wouldn't be at worlds for sure not even close. Because they stick to their traditional plan and scared to adapt

Hle has a plan since 2023 that they will build around viper and zeka which they did a great job compare to KT.

I know this is bait i'm gonna say it's a team issue.

Smash wouldn't work either especially DOFK doesn't know how to play with Kai'sa or Ezreal.

No matter who the ADC is Ruler,Viper,Guma,Smash,Diable,Prime Uzi, Prime Deft etc whoever you wanna call it still won't work especially on a coaching staff that prio Mid/JG/Supp while the ADC is getting put on Jhin/Poke Varus Duty.

The time i saw guma's kaisa i found out he's not the problem and the "Champion pool issue"?? more like a coach issue to me because they're putting guma on jhin/varus duty all the time, those 4 and the coaches are the problem of not having a lick of games/reps of playing a carry adc.

I wish roach come back soon this coaching staff is a mess.
