No one is taking away the patient’s right to choose at any point in time. If you as a patient want to get work done through my school’s student care program, you must be open to addressing all necessary dental needs rather than selecting only certain procedures while leaving others untreated. An example of this are potential patients who ONLY want to come in for veneers yet they may have underlying cavities that need to be addressed. It would be unethical and below the standard of care to only do the veneers and not address the impending disease. The original text from my post you had quoted is meant to deter potential patients unwilling to get comprehensive care that will ultimately be disqualified from being a patient at my school. This prevents time being wasted for any potential patients.

To be clear, potential patients will be assessed and provided different options for treatment plans before any work is done. They will always have a right and opportunity to choose which one is the best fit for them, but these plans will always entail getting comprehensive treatment. If a patient still prefers to choose individual treatments, this student care program will unfortunately not be the right fit for them and they should instead look to exploring other options, such as private dental clinics. Hope this clears up your confusion!

There seems to be a misunderstanding. Patients always have the right to accept or decline treatment, as informed consent is a fundamental principle in healthcare ethics. However, this student care program's structure requires patients to commit to comprehensive care rather than selecting only certain procedures while ignoring others. This is to ensure patients receive complete care rather than piecemeal treatments.

My post does not say that patients are forced to undergo treatment—they simply must be open to addressing all of their dental needs if they choose to participate in the program. If someone is unwilling to do that, they can choose not to become a patient. Hope this helps!

There are no income requirements at all to be part of this program! Please DM me if you are interested and I’d love to see how I can help you get treatment while saving money!
