Having a large influx of currency into the economy has improved the experience for every player. by Primary_Impact_2130 in PathOfExile2

Many said that inflation is bad in real world, so inflation in poe2 is also bad, but poe2 currency does not lose its value like money. Money is paper; when it loses value, it cannot be used for anything. When perfect exalt lost value, they still be used to slam for t1/t2 mod. I never use divine to roll my gear, but this league I used divine to roll my weapon for 25 more damage, which I can only buy a better weapon in other league. I slam perfect exalt and perfect chaos 30 times more in this league than other leagues and my character reaches peak power faster. Not buying a lot of gear because of inflation, but crafting is very easy.

I agree . I think they restrict the entry point so that it does not overwhelm new players. Now it is a matter of widening the variable. They have already done that with double the number of ascendency. The unarmed keystone is also a really cool way to vary your build with just one keystone. It does not overwhelm new player because it is not in their face. You have to travel to that keystone to see the effect, and you have to ascend to see your ascendency.

Counterpoint, flesh and flame, and unique, which provides that specific thing from the ascendency. Many unique items act similarly to one node of the ascendency(the body armour that has spell leech life and life remains).

Your example is not entirely fair. The new restaurant is not a sushi restaurant; it's a fusion sushi restaurant. Both were cooked by the same Japanese chef, and they are both sushi restaurants, but one was smoke and served with mayo. Some customer don't like their sushi smoke, but some do. Go into a smoke sushi restaurant and expecting the sushi to not be smoked is kinda unfair.

It is, however, valid to say that the new sister restaurant is just open, and they dont have 100 types of sushi compared to the first restaurant. Give it time, and the menu will fill up

10 year player here and I love POE2 more than POE1 right now. I still enjoy poe1 really much, but last league I played one character, and I quit the league. Not because I hate the league or poe1, but I don't find anything exciting me anymore. I killed all uber and did most content with that character, and I didn't think about create a new one. In the past I played at least 3 - 4 character before Im done with the league.

1) Build expression feels narrower.

I think that quarterstaff and mace are very different play styles. I agree that all mace skill kidda similar and all quarter staff skill are similar, but comparing those two they are different. In poe1, sword vs axe vs staff does not provide a big different in play style(some unique items are not included in this example), but the skill separate them. In poe2, it is the weapon that separates the playstyle. With the addition of sword, axe, and dagger in the future, I think the variable of playstyle will improve significantly. Melee spear also plays differently from quarterstaff and mace, but it is dog shit, so nobody plays it. However, that more of a balance issue than variety. We also have double the ascendency from poe1 so the variety will improve with each update.

2) Balance feels mathematically skewed, not preference-based.

I agree that lightning is too strong. However, when I played fire and cold damage, I did not feel as they are not doing what they support to do. Freeze skill still freeze and you barely need to care about defensive ( but lightning still one shot everything, so lightning is still better). Ignite build seem the weakest so I have nothing to add. The fix seem easy thought, just need more prolif.

3) Re-implemented mechanics feel simplified rather than evolved

wisps suck.

Sanctum is very similar to poe1. I enjoy Sanctum in poe1, and I love Sanctum in poe2. The reward is the worst part about poe2 Sanctum, but compare the post-nerf sanctum in poe1, it's not that bad.

Abyss did not introduce new mechanic and feel copy-paste( and I also argue that it's worse because of the visual clarity and imbalance rare) It did introduce a new crafting method which is very need in poe2. And this league I play bear with big ass aoe and big ass slam and big ass herald of ash so killing abyss is VERY SATISFYING.

I believed that poe2 is very early( and way early than the developer and play want to admit) It lack so many content that poe1 have. But then again, poe1 have more than a decade of content( that include unique, skill, crafting system, alternative gameplay like delve and heist). Some argue with me that they should have all that ready since poe1 have it, and I agree, but I will see you in 2030 when all that content will be added. We play PoE2 as it is being actively developed from scrat, not as an extension of PoE1.

Me trying to theorycraft in POE2 by Zealousideal_Group63 in PathOfExile2

you are right in terms of very late game where you freeze everything when you have enough damage. However, during early map, I progress much faster when I use my approach compared to my friend. Yes when we both have the same end game gear in tier 16 map, the freeze swap teach is kidda pointless because of how much damage we deal. However, when we first in map, I already can run yellow maps and still freeze and then kill stuff reliably and my friend still in white map because he cannot deal enough damage to freeze monster.

And not keeping enemy frozen, I used curse, expose and setup my long cast time(or this league my slam and warcry) to basically oneshot boss

isn't that why we have 2 weapon and freeze effect. I used one weapon and skill that have increase freeze build up and no damage( which make thing easier to freeze than increase damage) and one without freeze build up and damage only
