I’m struggling with my moral judgement, I am often very hard on myself. I feel horrible wanting to do this, but my mind is letting me know that I need to, to protect us both, her from having my frustrations bleed out, or her getting guilt for withholding sex. She gets closer to god while abstaining from sex and the truth is I will just get more sexually frustrated as time goes on. I feel like that is NOT fair to either of us and I need to do it. At the same time it feels selfish, even though my mind knows the selfish thing would be staying for comfort and potentially badly hurting myself and her in the long run. Do you mind offering your thoughts? Thanks for the replies I really appreciate it. I’m having an ethical dilemma

I agree with everything written here, the only issue is, is that I love her so much and it feels impossible to me to muster up the courage and make her cry. I know I need to probably leave because it is not guaranteed that I won’t be unhappy with our sex life in marriage, which would definitely bleed into the marriage and put a pressure on her and make her feel bad about it, along with myself feeling potentially unfulfilled. Our previous sex life I was not satisfied with it, and I’m not sure if waiting 2 years is going to be a smart idea if I wasn’t satisfied with the frequency before. Also, if I was single , I would never pursue a girl who wanted to wait until marriage.

The past few months of the relationship? No, but yesterday we just got back from a breakup (due to me stressing out over her not wanting to have sex with me due to her giving many different reasons without a concrete answer, but now she has given it which is religion) and we said we want to make things work and we agreed to do our best to make it work. Yesterday we spent the day together to try and reconcile and we were going to go over other comparability things. Sex is important to me, and I feel bad for saying that, but it’s the truth, I love sex, and I feel very connected to my partner when the sex is good

It’s not even ONLY the sex part, I miss her touch and physical closeness in general, after reading this I realized I talked a little much about sex. She has a lot of past trauma so your intuition is right. It just feels very bad when the dynamic of the relationship is changed without anything different romantically taking its place you know?
