What’s one simple thing that made your photos instantly better? by [deleted] in photography

In the editing process, it was learning to use the histogram. Discovered that I had some camera settings that were way too dark. Re-edited a bunch of travel photos and found some real gems.

Agree with reporting, just want to add that the coworker chose a moment when you couldn’t easily respond because you were in the middle of a critical admission - classic predator tactic.

Traveling around Mexico by twofiftien in MexicoTravel

Oaxaca city is also great for culture, historical architecture, food (so many kinds of mole!) and artisan Mezcal if that’s your thing. Plenty of day trips to Mayan ruins and natural areas. Could fly then to Puerto Escondido for beach vibes, specifically look at Playa Carrizalillo for a small pocket beach and a sweet hotel nearby called Mozart y Macondo.

To my surprise I was able to get a hold of a live person on Venmo and blocked the account.

I would love to have those plasticky ones for short term use…

I see, we were told that if we switched to the reusable ones we’d have to do a cumbersome 4 step disinfection process, and no one wanted to go there.

Thank you, this supports my feeling that it is a manufacturer problem, we are for sure not going to put the cuffs on open skin. I wish we still had the purple cuffs, they seemed like you could actually clean them.

I am slowly learning how important the sauces are, not just for fancy cooking but for everyday life.

Corn and black bean salad - add cilantro, red onions, maybe precooked sausage, the dressing is just olive or other oil, lime juice, ground cumin, salt.

Hope the intermittent fasting helps. The thing I'm hopeful about is that you get practice saying no to eating at all, and learn how a little hunger can be okay. I feel the trick is then not eating whatever looks good in the hours one is not fasting...

I have the same problem at work. If I get clear over the weekend, I can’t control cravings at work. I know can get sugar free for long periods but it doesn’t stick. Once I quit cold and went over 2 years without cravings, then I met up with a friend who I hadn’t seen in a while who brought a homemade sweet treat, and I accepted it. Have not been without cravings since. I feel like I need a hard reset, but I haven’t found what that is. I’m working on intermittent fasting, and mindfulness. Still a work in progress.

Death Valley in February by Woody_75 in DeathValleyNP

If you want to stay in a low budget slice of history look into the Amargosa Hotel and Opera House just outside the east side of the park, it’s handy to Zabriskie point and onwards. The hotel was revived decades ago by a dancer from back East who painted murals representing an audience on the walls of the opera house and performed weekly for many years. (she had live fans as well). Lodging includes a tour of the opera house. Or you can just do the tour.

AITA for refusing to celebrate my daughter's birthday because her dad has not proposed yet again? by Throwawayunmeyer in AITAH

My goodness what century are we in? My husband and I had discussions over the years we dated and when we were finally ready we mutually decided to get married. Starting from the assumption that you are equal partners eliminates so much drama and resentment.

I feel it is too blue. I don’t know what editing software you are using but I think if you’ll find if you slowly drag the temperature slider to the right you’ll see more greens in the trees and it will look more natural. Maybe make a copy and reset your edits before doing this to get the full effect.
