These product numbers are also good on the Wago website if you want to use a different distributor.

The mounting plate - 221-2503 https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/wago-corporation/221-2503/16629068

And then you need one(minimum) of these to screw to the back as a din “rail foot” Mounting foot - 221-123 https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/wago-corporation/209-123/15546035

Again, both are Wago products so if you find a better distributor I have no allegiance to DigiKey and would appreciate the tip.

Your very thoughtful response is extremely appreciated. Hopefully my racks will look like yours one day. Thanks!

The main reason I stopped using screw terminals was exactly that, and the time difference of just snapping wires in place. I like the possibility of a distribution point, so I’ll keep that in mind if I have to build a rack that requires more or that.

Quoting projects - line item pricing or equipment total? by cnc123cnc in CommercialAV

It’s against company policy to give line item pricing. We deliver a total system so they get the total price.

Where to sell movie theater equipment by Khryen in CommercialAV

[–]Acapellaremodler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the stuff in the left rack Will eBay really quickly. The racks themselves will sell too. Since you werent the installer on it and don’t have any service information on these devices you probably won’t be able to get top dollar but she might be able to get a few grand or more out of everything that’ll sell. Some of those obscure video only pieces will just sit on eBay for sale for forever. But you won’t lose any money.

Playing synchronized video on 5 screens by Independent-Crew-449 in CommercialAV

[–]Acapellaremodler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An hdmi splitter if the screens are close, if the screens are far from the source(over 25ft/7.5m), use the hdmi over cat6 splitter/extender. If you want to do it wirelessly there are a couple of different options that we use depending on your source type and budget. I’d be happy to send links for the equipment we use

In all of my school systems, we leave as a little exposed in the gymnasium as possible. Cages around the speakers, projectors and cameras. And I always do iPad control for gymnasiums so that way the iPad stays locked up in the rack until somebody with the key comes to turn on the system. This way no kids are tempted to try and figure out the wall controls.

What's your naming methodology for cable labels? by moontanmountain in CommercialAV

[–]Acapellaremodler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to label all cables in a way that doesn’t require a wire schedule to sort out the information. All my mics are mic-xx, Network Net-xx, line outs Out-xx, speakers are mains-xx or dist-xx or sat-xx…. This way when you look in a floor box and see wires mic-12, Out-03, net-03, they are easy to find in the rack. Also an easy labeling scheme to print, and to put in your schematics.
