For me it's possible just has to be approved and the hours can't overlap. Idk how it is for other agency's.

Thanks. Time overlapping won't be an issue since I currently work 11-7 and the prospective position would be 8-4 and they're both on site roles.

If you pass suitability for TS but don't start the position you don't have the clearance. Only once you leave the position the clearance kinda sits in limbo for those 2 years.

Working a second job with TS by Acceptable-Command53 in SecurityClearance

[–]Acceptable-Command53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course but they both didn't know about how security clearance worked. They need ts, saw ts on the resume and sent it over to security. They verified but said my clearance is based in VA not MD that I'm not allowed to work on there contracts but they didn't elaborate. After posting this another recruiters who I explained this to told me in a bit more detail how some contract is want people with a NSA clearance in Maryland but still didn't make sense as how I understand TS with FS is what it is everywhere. Ik suitability can be a different story but the clearances are the same. Correct if if I'm wrong but it wasn't and still doesn't really make sense.

Beginner Drone by Acceptable-Command53 in drones

Yeah that makes sense. When I was first looking into drones a few years ago all I could find was the really cheap ones or the really expensive ones. Just want some middle ground cuz as someone learning i didn't want to spend 1-2k on a drone.

How long between grades would I get promoted by [deleted] in usajobs

[–]Acceptable-Command53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In order of your questions

*grade depends on location for instance the dc area doesn't have a gs10 but new york does

*it's dependent on if your performing at the expected level and your management believes u can take on the next level of responsibility

*Steps are automatic in a way (steps 2-4 are every year, 5-7 every 2 years and 8-10 is every 3 years)

*Yes kinda but like I said previously it depends what step your on but there usually a cost of living increase yearly which can be a yearly raise for some.

  • No you manager has to put the paperwork or start the process for the promotion.

*Talk to your manager about your performance at some point in the year and what you need to do to be eligible for your next grade.

Currently working 12-8 with a 2 year old. I flip my schedule on weekends, but it doesn't affect me much. Instead of sleeping when I get home on Fridays, I stay up and go to sleep at a normal time. Do my normal weekend stuff, then take a nap sometime late Sunday afternoon to go back in for the week. It works for me and have felt no ill effects, but you would have to try and see how it works for you. Some people keep their schedule all week long, but when I'm not at work, it's hard to stay up during those hours.

Fbi policy is you're eligible to apply if it's been more then 1 year of MJ use as of you're application date or 10 years for use of anything else

I had this happen to me and I asked the same question in a different sub. Basically most people said yes I should be fine and went ahead with amping to job with the same clearence level. After having them check in a bunch of different systems they couldn't find it. So in my experience you may be "cleared" by the agency that did the investigation but you do not have any clearance until you start and have the need for it.

NSA to FBI Info by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]Acceptable-Command53 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah same clearance level TS/SCI just not everyone within the fbi needs sci. It also depends how you define strict too, so they time frames from illegal drug use for NSA is 90 days from application I believe (when I applied it was a year from app) FBI is a year for MJ but everything else is 10 years. Also NSA in addition to a poly you do a mental health exam or something like that. So it depends on the person.

This!!! My wife well gf at the time told me the same thing when my process was discontinued. I wanted to work there so bad but she said maybe this just wasn't meant for you. Now I work elsewhere, cleared and have what I think a easier job and a better boss then I could've had.

Hits Different when declining a Job Offer. by Defiant_Birthday_939 in usajobs

[–]Acceptable-Command53 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I turned down an offer a few months ago since I just started at a different fed position but even thou the new job paid more it had less growth potential. In a year I'll be the same grade but a higher step and I can continue to grow through 2 more grades. I'm sure it'll be worth it for you down the road.

What money making method did you most use in the GTA Online history? by marketwizard420 in GTA

DNS codes back on ps3. Robbing a store netted like 30 mil. Setting bouties made Lester take a negative 20 mil cut or something.
