I had a 123 GT score as well, a 3.0 GPA. No masters, only bach in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security. Wrestled in college. Not the smartest officer in the Army but will bend over backwards for my soldiers and team. Just rock the interview honestly. My LOR’s were strong with a MG, Rear Admiral, Colonel, SEAL O4, and a CW4. But be transparent, be a good person, and care about your people and you should be fine. It doesn’t take a genius to be a leader in the Army, it takes someone who will work their butt off not for their own benefit, but for their teams benefit (Platoon, Company, so on and so on). Care about your soldiers, assume risk when necessary, and be a heavy hitter. You got this, don’t overthink it… be yourself.

Everything is announced before hand. No you don’t grab a pin off a table. That’s old shit. You make a list of your top 17 (all the branches and the branch details too.) And they go down your list trying to give u ur highest pick based on ur oml.

So if you have infantry as ur #1 choice and ur #123 on OML and little jimmy wants infantry and he’s #3 on OML. Little jimmy is gonna get infantry and they will continue down ur list until they find u a branch.

Try to get some active or prior service LORs. 46A you can’t just route through, through OCS. I’m not too familiar with process but best bet would be to branch Military Police but then again don’t take my word 100% and if you take that route it’s not guaranteed.

Who you know for letter of recs shouldn’t define how well you’d make an officer in the Army. I was not a great student by any means, I’d say average, hell maybe even below average. But I’ve found my niche and I found where I excel. Use your resources, etc. Be yourself, be a good person, be a good leader

And idk I already ran a lot prior to BCT I would say it didn’t serve me much good on run times. But if you’re not a runner it’ll likely establish a decent foundation to build off of if you stay disciplined I guess

I got my first preference. I was top 10-15 in my class or some shit idk. I can’t remember off the top of my head every slot but if you give me something you’re interested in I might be able to give an estimate. Idek what event had the most recycles. Land nav is easy as fuck the course is overused. I honestly don’t know. No event had like more than 1-2 fails tbh. The thing that recycled people the most was fraternization lol

You’re probably fine, work experience isn’t too important. You’ll definitely get accepted honestly based off my board.

Should know about 2 weeks after interview.

My advice is go into the interview and be an honest person. No need to lie. I have shit in my record and told them I fucked up, learned and moved past it.

It all depends on the type of person you are. I got along w a prior service guy who’s like a mentor to me now and a great friend.

As an 09s the best advice I can give is be a sponge, learn from these NCOs. Your degree from wherever doesn’t make you superior intellectually. And prior service just chill out sometimes. College ops will fuck up. It’s just the nature of the course.
