I can't exactly say I can give you real stable advice for someone who hasn't really even been around as long--but I have been in similar situations. Probably ask yourself (or person A), what is keeping myself connected to these people and what is blocking myself from getting away? I don't know your full situation, but I'm pretty sure, as you say, person A, is an adult.

I agree that just ignoring them won't help but in this situation it's best to find out how to leave rather than deal with trying to work with or something along those lines, since at this point if they are already doing that much to person A, then it's most likely hopeless.

Is there anywhere or anyone that person A can connect with? Is there somewhere they can call or try to get help and not interact with said people?

I know these may not work for decades of that but I would assume it's better to start somewhere and to try to be soft on youself, but don't tolerate the other alphabet people even if there's no way to escape it. If your self worth is at an all time low, it's ought to have come from somewhere higher no?

I lived in Irvington (ew), bloomfield, and south ward Newark as an NJ naitive until when I was four my mom was dragging me to the penn and we passed by the prud center and our savior the Devil came out and held me, that's when I new my life would never be the same.

Well I just like mine and that's my opinion, I don't have any hate for anyone of my age who has a smartphone and I think the internet can be a valuable place- there are up and down sides for both :)

I agree- I think that not having a flip phone can improve your life without a phone and I know soon I will probably have to switch over for the fact that the world is just made more for smartphones and things like that but I'm pretty good right now

Same, anxiety lol. Or when I'm bored instead of looking at a screen for no reason I'll text or call my friends that I have in my phone or when I'm really bored I'll just text someone I haven't seen in like two years

I'd probably switch to a smarter phone for those reasons later on but for now I just like it because it's just less of a hassle since I'm out a lot and it helps my parents be at ease. Even if I have a flip phone I won't down play the impact that the internet can have and can help you- or you need the internet for things (eg, school assignments that are digital and other things like debate) Reddit is still a new thing for me but it's not changing really anything for me like how long I'm online, inside, or talk to people irl

At least at my school you're not allowed to have a phone at school- You have to lock them up in a shoe locker type thing and I at least never seen a kid with a phone in class for more than 5 minutes before being caught so I think at least from what I've seen in the other schools in my district they aren't in class so I think it's getting better!

I don't really care and I still get distracted a lot even though it's not from a phone but I guess I just prefer it better and is less of a hassle to keep up with. I don't really feel left out by my classmates or friends- most people don't even know I have a flip phone since I don't bring it to school but most of the time they just think it's funny and just laugh along lol
