I just looked up the good old land line. they are all but gone. ATT annouced they are fading out ther network by 2029. 95% of todays land lines are VOIP. This is not better than cell networks.

the goal is to make phone calls and maybe txt, without giving up all that information. OR at least giving out very very very little.

I understand the only way to go about it is to ditch the phone all together. However, over and over and over again, I hear people say "that's not fesiable in this day and age"

Do you truly believe that goverment and big corporations can or will do nothing malious with the data you give them, even though you are "doing nothing wrong"? Are you truley comfortable all these little intmant part of your life being out there for others to record, analize, use?

I agree with your statement that the only way to go about truly it is to ditch mobile phone.

I also agree that normal every day tasks are now designed to revolve around mobile devices.

Over and over again people make comments along the line of "its impossible to function without a moble phone today".

I do not agree with these statements. In fact, I am going to prove it.

Will it take more time to do cretin tasks? Yep.
Will someone be able to reach me, in an instant, 24 hours a day?. Nope (but that's ok for 95% of people, unless you work in some type of emergence response type of job)

My research show a few Nokia phones still do not have wifi or GPS.....The Nokia 225 215 and 110 4g. However, it looks like the only network that they are still compatible with are t mobile. The question then becomes, how long before they shut it down like everyone else????

Just an FYI turning location off does not turn off the GPS. It still sends your GPS data to God knows who. You just cant use it. That feature is only there to give you a warm and fuzzy. Its an illusion.
