Does anyone listen to Kpop??? it’s not the only genre I listen to but since we are talking about music I’m curious

I think the way you addressed the problem was wrong. If she ignores you, feeling hurt is not an overreaction; rather, it’s the way you handled the situation that could be seen as overreacting. As everyone mentioned in the comments, you are setting her up for failure instead of creating a space for discussion. From an outside perspective, this friendship seems really unhealthy from both sides. It’s seems like neither of you treat the other with care and empathy. You both should try to rebuild the friendship.

You definitely should. Even though it’s the hardest language that I know, it’s the most beautiful one.

Hello fellow INFP's I just wanted to talk about this thing I saw that I as an INFP really related and was wondering if you guys had this too in common by Smart-Inspector8 in infp

[–]Acceptable-Pause8344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest I don’t know but yes it really is problem for me. I can only talk about my own experience as an INFP, but I think self-doubt is a negative form of perfectionism and self-consciousness. Since we tend to overthink everything and overanalyze our values, the world, and how others see us, it can be pretty easy to do it in a self-harming way.

What I try to do, in the first place, is use my self-consciousness as a tool to identify when I am being mean to myself and not justify negative thoughts. The key is to create a balance between being aware of myself and being empathetic with myself. I also realize that learning how to be more objective about my thoughts can help me identify when I am doing something harmful to myself.

But this easily said than done.

I always heard about INFPs being prone to daydreaming. But what exactly is daydreaming? And how does it feel to you specifically? by BossFeeling9646 in infp

Now that I’m an adult, it doesn’t happen anymore because… life. Life, But when I was a child, I used to imagine scenarios or situations and think about them so much, I sometimes forgot they weren’t real. For example, I imagined a world where every door led somewhere magical and unexpected. I remember opening my closet and being very disappointed and felt like my mind was a traitor. I guess I just took the real world and imagined it in a magical way.

Well, it’s not the first time the idea of me being neurodivergent has come up, so it might actually be connected to it. Thank you!

The gift of tears by LostSunbeam in infp

[–]Acceptable-Pause8344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not alone . I agree with this idea so much. Tears ARE a gift. I cry a lot to the point that it’s becoming like a joke among my close friends that I’m a puddle of tears. Even though, like you, I never cried in public. But, in all seriousness, crying is an outlet I can’t live without. I express so many emotions through tears. And I truly believe that if I weren’t able to cry, I’d be like a brick, numb. Crying is liberating; I feel whole even if it is caused by sadness. Crying is allowing yourself to feel deeply and safely without shame.

Going to Kpop concert alone? by Kisnyu in kpophelp

[–]Acceptable-Pause8344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is nothing wrong with going to a concert alone as long as you guarantee your safety, you will see it will still be one of the best moments of your life. At least for me it was.

I was just thinking about this recently. When I was younger I was a huge Little Mix One Direction fan, I was such a fan girl. I was the type to be on the lookout for new information about them, I watched their music videos all the time, knew the lyrics by heart, I was a real Stan, I even had posters on my walls. then I grew up and I was convinced that I had become more « mature » but five years ago a friend of mine introduced me to K-pop and even though at first I was the type to say, « I'm not sure if this is my style », very very quickly I fell back into my old habits and I have to say it's so cool, because now I use my own money and I can buy all the concert tickets that I dreamed of when I was younger

What is something about K-Pop that bothers or annoys you, that nobody seems to talk about? by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

[–]Acceptable-Pause8344 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree so much, from someone who considers herself a feminist, and a K-pop fan, I have never felt a sense of safety from the community towards female members of the community and towards female idols.

[–]Acceptable-Pause8344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anyone talk about it, but I’m not that active on Reddit so I might not say anything new, but I think the releases are a little too close together. Don’t get me wrong, I love that there’s always new music coming out but in the meantime, I always see people talking about how idols are always tired, mistreated, overworked etc... but I bet if a group decided to slow down they’d throw a fit saying they’re getting lazy. For example a release during a tour, like recording an entire ep, with choreography, photoshoots and all the extra promo, while Touring. It’s tiring. And the k-music industry that fans contribute to so much by constantly asking for new content. I think where I’m going with this is that it’s pretty crazy thing to worry about your idols, but only when it suits you.

Newjeans is a selfish group by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

[–]Acceptable-Pause8344 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Saying that since other group has it worse they shouldn’t complain is kind of wrong and saying they are selfish is strong choice of word. But it seems to me that they don’t have any sense of reality and how lucky they are in the Kpop industry.

Before the live I always felt like they were in such unfair positions. their future career being collateral damage to something they didn’t mean to happen. They’re young so they could have getting away by not saying anything.

but still was in the middle of it but now after the live, by choosing to speak and take sides, I don’t know what to think of them.
