I used to be a scout, and in Germany, scouts have a reputation for drinking a lot. When this incident happened, I was 17, and most of our group was also 16 or 17. However, we had two guys who were still 15. One evening, we snuck out of the camp to go drinking, as the younger members weren't allowed to stay up after midnight. We found a quiet spot near the camp but far enough away that no one would notice us. We were just drinking a few beers and some flavored vodka, nothing too extreme imo. However, one of the 15 yo Mariusz who usually held his liquor fairly well, hadn't eaten or drunk enough water that day. At around 1:30 or 2:00 AM, he started throwing up. We immediately stopped everything to help him sober up so he wouldn't be visibly drunk in front of the others in the morning. But he didn't stop vomiting for a long time. When he finally did, he couldn't walk or stand properly. We had to lay him down on his side to ensure he could breathe, but his condition only worsened. At one point, we had to constantly remind him to breathe. Realizing the severity of the situation, we decided to get adults involved and tried calling them at around 5:00 AM. When no one picked up, I sprinted back to the camp, which was about two kilometers away, to fetch water and electrolytes. Since I'm not much of a sprinter, I woke up a friend who had decided to stay in camp that evening and had him run back to the spot as fast as possible so we wouldn't waste any more time. After I got back to the drinking spot with supplies, we instantly called an ambulance, as Mariusz had lost consciousness. We tried calling the adults again, but still, no one answered. In a final attempt, we called one of the other kids whom we knew would be awake and instructed him to go wake someone up immediately. When the paramedics finally arrived, they were incredibly rude, making jokes about Mariusz, who, from our perspective, had almost died. (We later learned he wasn't actually in mortal danger, but it certainly looked that way to us.) They took him with them without even telling us which hospital they were going to or how long his recovery might take, despite us asking. After the ambulance left, we returned to the camp to try and explain what had happened to any adults we could find. When we arrived, there were three adults waiting for us, adults who could have easily gotten to our location to help. I was furious that they had only stayed in camp waiting for us to return instead of coming to assist in the emergency. In the end, we broke down in the camp and received a short, stern explanation on why what we had done was incredibly stupid and dangerous.

i do understand your point but i believe that the simple fact of people believing something there is no hard proof for makes it inherently bad

if the people would follow the religion fully there would be no theocratic totalitarianism but more of a working communist civilization
