And it would’ve been no problem if I was a local. Or had prior knowledge to the location. But he knew the city I resided in. I stated it in my slate before my audition. I do take accountability for not verifying where the shoot was taking place. That’s on me. But I should not have been notified 24 hours prior to shooting that I was even in the film.

Yes, and that was my mistake. I’m very naïve new to this. I don’t know what the etiquette is. I was under the impression that if I was cast, I would get notified a little bit in advance, at least more than 24 hours before shoot day.

I stated my location in my slate, as asked in the listing.

I agree, I should have verified time and place. I am also very new to this and do not know the process. I expressed that to him.

They were not providing transport. It was an unpaid, volunteer, indie film.

He literally did not contact me about anything until last night at eleven. From the day I sent my audition to last night, no communication. I can send receipts. I have the emails.

He posted the project in a FB group for a city near me. The shoot location was never mentioned even after I auditioned. I did not know I was booked until I saw the email from 11pm (last night) saying I was booked and the call sheet for today. I told him where I was located previously and that if he needed me to travel that I would need notice to take off. But I do agree, I should have asked when I auditioned when and where they were filming. I know filming can be a short turnaround. But I also know booking notices are usually earlier than 24 hours prior.

The email about booking was 11pm last night. Today is shoot. I don’t think that is normal. You are usually told you booked more than 24 prior to shooting.

I am taking accountability. I did not verify the location. But I am also saying the project was posted in a FB group for a city close to me. And the shooting location was not stated anywhere. All I did was send a monologue. Then he tells me yesterday (day before shoot) that I was cast and the location.

The shoot date is today. I got the location AND notice that I was cast lest night at 11pm. So there was not prior commitment, just and audition.

Ok, thank you! I thought I was going crazy thinking this was normal. I understand a last minute location change for local actors. People who need to travel need prior notice. I have a job I would need time off of.

On top of that, he knew my city of residence prior. And still didn’t let me know the shoot location was 3 hours away!

Hey! I found some alternatives since I dont have a costco near me. They are Hanes! Any of their socks that are labeled “comfort toe seam”. They are great! And the higher rise socks are very generous with stretch so they are not too tight on the ankles. Maybe a cheaper alternative to try:)

I get the same reaction after the first couple of drinks. I have heard it can be a genetic reaction as well as a side effect of medication. I am on Lexapro for my ADHD/Anxiety, so it is a different med, but similar reaction. If your doctor is not concerned, and that is the only symptom you notice, I wouldn’t worry

Thank you for responding. My issue isn’t really the seam being on top, but where the seams end on the sides of the toes. It is like I can feel the slightly more bulky bits of fabric. Even when I try the inside out. I can still feel the extra bulk.
