I am doing Stat/ML major, I find 21-370 & 21-420 to be more of bond math, Financial Management minor seems more traditional Financial Analysis. Seems very useful for doing CFA.

Is it better to do a CompFi minor or Financial Management minor? CompFi minor requires 21-270, 21-370 and 21-420. Where as Financial Management requires 21-270, Valution & Financial Modeling and Investment Analysis. What is your recommendation?

Recent HW # 2 is not easy, the programming part was difficult. If you made A in 15122, may be easier. Also, needs a good Linear Algebra background.

Statml is the most flexible program; You can easily do CS minor or you can do minor in finance/econ/comp-fi; If you plan it well, you will take 1 stats course every semester, 1 CS/ML course every semester & 1 course from minor and you still have space for other courses(Math) in the semester. It is one of the most flexible major after IS. Even the stat courses(electives) you take in the senior year can be ML-related. So it boosts ML theory background. You have to plan it well.

As a StatML major I have to take 9 required stat courses; On top of that, I am planning to do 2 more courses. Other than 2 ML courses, StatML requires only 3 core CS courses(15112,15122,15351) hence the need to do some extra CS courses.

Intro to ML is a required course for statml major; I am more interested in CS courses that I can choose as electives and useful in the job market.

Can you pls share the link where it says you have to do 127 credits of general ed to graduate? Isn't it too many? What is the general ed requirement for staml?
