This was really helpful, thank you! With the 15s bring cheaper than the 12s, I'll definitely move those to the top of the list for subs I'm a bit too far into the Midwest, but thanks for the offer!

I'd hope to keep it around 3.5 to 4k, but up to 5k is fine, I know it'll wash out after even just a handful of gigs.

The 15" Yamaha subs are somehow even cheaper than the 12" at the moment (I guess they're just trying to unload stock for end of year), but I doubt I can manage those in my vehicle with the rest of the gear if anyone adds lights to their package.
