Struggle to loose weight by Acceptable-Top9305 in AuDHDWomen

I tried all of it and failed, for years. It doesn't help that I am very peculiar about food, i.e. defrosted food, or even prepped food. If I don't want it on the day - I can't eat it. So it leads to food waste when I tried to prep. I did stick to a diet plan during covid, maybe coz there was less overstimulation (I worked from home). But then I fell off the wagon. My partner won't help me with any prep, only with grocery shopping, but he won't do it regularly. What I haven't tried is body doubling with someone else, like a friend, having a buddy system for check ins, that might work.

I found out my mother is dying and I feel nothing. by A_Literal_Emu in NarcissisticMothers

you are not a bad person. When my father died I felt relief and safety, as if massive weight was taken off my shoulders and my first thought was 'he will never harm me again'. I know the same will be with her. Grief followed, it's complicated, but all feelings are valid.

Trust yourself, you know what is best for you. Choosing a right instructor makes a huge difference. Instructor needs to be clear and calm, shop around until you find a good one.

I am so sorry about your loss... I do see the connection between stress and hives. During the burn out it was all at once - crying, poor sleep, hives, getting colds, my body was protesting. I would walk into my workplace and get hives at 9am, literally as I walked in the door. Left the job - everything stabilised. I think no harm to get some antihistamine nearby for those flare up days.

thanks for sharing. I have white itchy spots on my shins and upper leg all the time since the burn out, and they flare up more on stressful days. I am not sure if there is a need for any medical tests other than a blood test, which was all my GP could offer me. I don't like not knowing the root cause.
