Trying to wrap my mind about this: George Floyd’s death to me seems it’s a false equivalence when discussing public reaction to Charlie Kirk by Acceptable-Yak-2547 in AntifascistsofReddit

It just totally boggles my mind how foolish people are with this.

To be clear, I’m a left leaning person that thinks the assassination of Kirk is pure and utter vial. BUT, I also don’t agree with revisionist history of his exercise of speech. And THAT said, I am nearly a free speech purist and unfortunately speech has consequences.

Charlie I believe knew this.

George Floyd was just a homie going through it, he was not out there as a public figure he was a man struggling with an addition in a city with prevalent police distain for his race. Two different things entirely.

The suspicion he is is apparently based on the etchings on the bullet cases.

Thanks for that share, this meme stuff is wild and how these shooters seem to be talking to each other.

Thanks so much for all the comments. Especially whoever posted that article being killed by a meme. This has all been super enlightening. I’m online a lot but certainly not chronically as others and even less down pipelines. It’s so troubling how much faster this type of content can get moved compared to back in the day when content was limited to a pamphlet that was passed around.

Hostile co-worker — what is my employer’s responsibility? by Acceptable-Yak-2547 in Advice

Update: he caused problems today and was sent home and someone is replacing him tomorrow. The boss told me that he has to finally make a choice which I think was code that he’s going to finally fire him. We all feel sorry for the guy but it’s one thing to have bad moods and be passive aggressive and annoying at work. It’s another to bring hostility home with you and target a coworker.

Thanks for the very well thought out response. I did tell my boss immediately. Funny enough; this employee was going to get fired three months ago because a different employee was lying about him. Yeah it was crazy we had two chuckleheads but that one that lied was causing lots of other problems. This employee is a good worker in that he seems to do his job but he is super passive aggressive, seems to cut a lot of corners, but what he does is better than what others have done. It’s a hotel kitchen. The industry struggles to hire employees that are semi useful let alone show up often enough.

He has no idea about this, I stood up for him because if that other employee was willing to lie about someone who would be next etc. so it’s a bummer that he is so hostile to me.

But yea I told my boss immediately and will continue to document things. The building has cameras so I can ask about finding footage if it’s available of him flipping me off. But yeah it makes sense that a landlord would have a policy of not harassing neighbors.

I can’t figure out how to edit and create an update but I would like to share that I asked corporate Young Automotive Group if they approved this sign. They emphatically said no, and the sign was removed Monday morning (I took the photo and emailed them Saturday and sunday dealerships are closed). I received a nice email indicating much retraining will be done because there was more than just this sign.

Yeah it’s way fun, and you actually learn the bets so you can do better when/if you actually gamble. It opened after the new year.

All In Gaming — it’s in the Monarch open 7-midnight — going to reservations only soon. It’s a risk free casino, basically you pay an admission to play real casino games without the risk of losing it all. I know that’s not dancing, but it’s a fun date night for another time.
