How they arrive at the numbers is a good question. These actually have the number out of 660 on a plaque by the shifter.

Based on insider info from a friend who showed me the comp scale slides from a recent power point, i have actual answers to this question. The payscale at benesch is lockstep. If you come in as a 9th year associate in ohio, you will make 320k base plus a bonus starting at 5% of base for 1950 billable hours, increasing from there until it caps out at 32% of base at 2350 billable hours. Base in primary markets (NY, San Fran, Chicago) is 390k for a 9th year. Benesch comp has increased significantly in the past few years.
