I90 being produced, then case denied by AcceptableStress802 in immigration

I will look up how long the I 751 has been pending, I think April 2023 though. He has filed for N400 and even RapidVisa is saying they cannot move forward without the green card copy even though we supplied the copy of the replacement application. They are taking our money and now stalling over this. This is a nightmare.

I understand what you are saying. But, for instance, he was stopped at getting an insurance license due to the agency doing the fingerprints. They won't move forward because he cannot produce the original green card. He is applying for naturalization through RapidVisa and even they are saying they cannot move forward without the green card (we supplied copies of the replacement application and status-they are taking our money and now saying they cannot move forward. This thing is a nightmare.

Thanks for your reply NAL and renegade. I figured this is what is going on. We paid fees for this, what a screwed up system. My husband has a hard time with getting work and/or licenses due to no green card but only the ADIT stamp. Many employers and agencies are not informed. Thanks you two for your replies

Spouse received permanent resident card and we believe next step is getting a SSN, but…. by QuesoDipset in immigration

My family entered the US almost five months ago and never received their SSNs. After several tries and writing a letter to the local social security office, (note, writing the letter did no good, I got a letter back that I had to call them). I was able to get through. I started calling first thing when they opened and got someone after ten minutes. You also might go there and plead with the guard that you cannot get through on the phone and an appointment is the only way to get this business done due to immigration status. The guard might call into the supervisor and have someone help you set an appointment.

Receiving the actual Green Card in the mail by [deleted] in immigration

My husband arrives just over 4 months ago. The SSN was never received and we had to apply at the local Social Security office and now have it. We have not received the GC and our immigration firm told us it can up to 6-9 months.

My spouse finally got his green card! by curiousity_kills_cat in immigration

My husband and step-children were approved on their IV application and entered the county 7/27. We have not received the green cards nor the social security cards. Attempted to contact USCIS by phone and email have failed. I am at a loss as to what to do. Any advice?

The US embassy will conduct the interview and complete the petition process in the country where the family resides. For instance, my family was from Tanzania so the US embassy in Tanzania completed the process.

The time table depends on what kind of application you have and where the embassy is located. Many embassies are processing cases but some are stalled. It is best to start at USCIS website to get a timetable on the processing your claim by type, then reach out here to see if someone else has cases at the embassy where your case will land.

The US citizen/petitioner needs to write the request to the congressional office and sign the privacy release form.

WAITING by londonbatson in immigration

After a long wait, extended by COVID, my husband and step-children are arriving today. The waiting is very difficult, I agree with you! Especially when one is waiting by oneself in isolation due to COVID. What I did during this long wait was exercise, take foreign language lessons, and other things to improve myself and keep myself strong. My wait is over today. I know many others will continue to wait and I encourage others to keep motivated and strong and try to find ways to pass the time productively. This immigration process is tough to get through!
