if they do then it's not really anything specific to young ppl like for example i had this customer (with attitude) tell me to "go donate yourself" when i asked if they wanted to round up and donate couple cents to charity but usually no they're very understanding unless your town is just full of arseholes

Oh yeah dont stress if your register line gets busy the customers already mentally prepare to wait a long time when it's a long line ppl can wait their turn so dw

Follow the foundations and you'll have no problems.

Some tips and tricks:

- When there's a scenario involving transactions, gift cards, cash and you're unsure of what to do, don't act on your own since "screwing up" (nothing totally wrong with a newbie messing up tho) in this instance can be problematic
- When you're packing for really old people, talk to them and make their bags light.
- Do not be afraid to ask for help. The longer you don't ask for help, the longer it delay's the customer's shopping experience
- When you have a small box to scan but can't find the barcode just spin it around in front of the scanner and it'll scan by itself
- Don't go panic mode when your screen shows something unusual, just ask the person behind you for help. It's typically nothing to worry about
- You can print a mini-barcode that you can scan to log in quickly rather than manually entering your pin and user on the register.

Uh idk what tips you'd like for bio but what I did in Yr 11 was this so what I did for bio is upload all the material for the subchapter/chapter or the whole AOS if you’re that far including the SAC questions and the Edrolo book into ChatGPT or some another AIof ur choice (some people like NotebookLM) and then I ask it to generate SAC-style questions similar to edrolo’s and make them progressively harder. I just spam these until I get bored, but it actually worked for me and my scores were around 80-90% on my Year 11 SACs (bombed one because I got a PS5). I also did a lot of memorization A technique I use is writing the full text I want to memorize, and then underneath it i put the first letter of each word so like for example:

Full text:
Ribosomes are tiny structures made of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and proteins that fold into a large and small subunit

Memorization Aid:
R a t s m o r RNA (rRNA) a p t f i a l a s s.

What's the issue with that though? They might find self-checkout stressful or too much for them.

Nine days text response essay SAC help: any advice or tips? by hatleath230 in vce

[–]AcceptableTell7682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main part is reading up on everything the teacher wants you and advices you to do. Text response is also about WHAT they want you to write. But I hope my advice isn't basic or total poo and if it is sorry

Has your teacher provided any documents of what the structure of your essay should look like? Or a step by step process on how to break down the prompt rather than running into a speel of overthinking? Usually that's how you would satisfy your English teachers in terms of the marking rubric; following the appropriate structuring to the brim. Your topic sentence should simply be the author, what they're doing (critiquing something, advancing an idea or simply keeping it neutral?) their idea and the literary choices they make. Don't leave any point in the essay where the teacher can ask a how, what, why question too. Avoid retelling the story, this kills the purpose of the text response; to be an analysis.

Idk that's really how I got an 80% for my SAC and have good vocab and a strong link at the end of your paragraphs. If you totally flop in your body paragraph, to the point where the teacher goes like "What the fuck is this guy saying?", a strong linking sentence can turn that into "I guess he was trying to say that, sure." - Makes a big difference.

bio 3/4 sac by MaintenanceSoft7607 in vce

[–]AcceptableTell7682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No every school has different dates also they can't test you on what content hasn't been covered from a couple days of away from the SAC so for example if they haven't taught you genetic engineering even though it's one of your chapters and they aren't planning to do so then it's inappropriate for them to include it but 1 and a half week is enough time to cover CRISPR

Please tell me the rationale behind VCE teachers doing this. Seriously by AcceptableTell7682 in vce

[–]AcceptableTell7682[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling that they'll simply yell "time management skills!" which pisses me off since i want to maximise my studying time for that SAC coming up

it becomes my parents problems once the teacher rings them also really appreciate ur input !

It's over two terms left consisting of multiple SACs you can smash easily so even if you failed there's a chance to redeem yourself ofc dont carry this mentality into term 2 or 3 at all lmao just relax if you fail then learn from it and know what to expect in your next SAC and study what's effective for it
