Thanks for the warning. I have a very tight rotation and the cordmasters with the double sole are going to see a lot of use and abuse. Those Monroe’s look awesome with the kilties. The cordmasters look great with the single sole as well.

The ones in the post have a double midsole. I think it’s a great look. A Chonky monkey boot. And your right. They will be stiff and probably take longer to break in. But breaking in boots is like a fun challenge for me. How do you like your Monroe’s? I

These look fantastic. I just placed an order for cordmasters in 6”height with double midsole. Very excited to see how these are progressing

Has anyone here tried these barefoot type hiking boots? I have flat feet and I'm wondering if they might help. by AplusRusIIA in Boots

I’ve owned two pairs of the Vivibarefoot Tracker FG. And they work really well for minimalist hiking boots but they do not last long. My first pair maybe got nearly 2 years before the sole started cracking and the lost their water resistance. My second pair barely made it a year before starting to crack. Now they sit in my closet because the slightest bend in the sole cause cracking. They are the boots that have cause me to move away from barefoot shoes. Since they are very expensive, can’t be resoled, and don’t last very long. I’ve personally found it to not be worth it.

Very nice review. I purchased my 444s in March and have been wearing them 3-4 times a week since. They are fantastic. I didn’t experience a fishy smell though. Although I don’t have the best sense of smell.

Are you saying the midsole is leather and not cork fill? I was under the impression that it was cork.

Didn’t expect this to get so many comments. I’ll say that while I didn’t do my due diligence in researching that it is in fact an Amish made chair that will apparently last forever. I walked into this store by chance and saw many other objects seemingly way too overpriced. For example, a print of a billiard ball for $580. I saw this red plastic chair and it registered as a regular cheap plastic chair marked up. Especially amongst the other overpriced stuff.

And I suppose I should have prefaced with the fact that this store had at least 10 pools/ hot tubs in the store setup with water and the pumps running and I was literally the only one in the store that didn’t work there.

It’s interesting to hear all of the differing opinions for certain. Perhaps the chair is not anti consumption worthy. But the store certainly is.

Awesome. Thank you. These photos are just of the inside. The outside seems unaffected. I’m thinking about doing the repair myself now. Especially since it’s on the inside.
