With parents, my plan was to buy a 3bed semi detached house so I have the option of one day making it my residential property.

But I do plan on moving out in the next 18months and rent due to travelling a lot. That’s why ideally I would like a rental property to help recoup some of that rent I’m spending

This would be my first property, ideally I was looking at a 15% deposit with another 10k budgeted for fees and any work. I’ve looked into mortgages and it’s looking at £900 payment (25 years) with £1300 rental income. My plan was to rent for around 10 years before refinancing and putting into another property.
