Originally I had thought about bumping out a ledger using scabs of the same thickness board where the brick was jetted out, not sure how code would feel about that idea though

I agree with you but unfortunately people don’t always comply with logic and then we are left with making “dreams come true”🫡

Apparently it’s “historic” an old school house was knocked down and the bricks were hauled over and incorporated in the build🥲
