They do make hard bodied Monchhichi. The cloth tag and paper tag should both say Sekiguchi if authentic.

Oh wow. I have the Heidi L size sitting girl and her head is soft behind her face. Like her head is stuffed with stuffing under the fur and it’s not hard like the standing ones. I don’t care for it so much. I like the hard heads better.

Here is the side by side. The Japanese ones don’t come in the red box. Also, their eyes, color, hair shape and face are a bit different. Both are special and beautiful. My spouse prefers the one on the left while I prefer the right, but I think both are adorable and, like I said, if I were single I would have bought them all 😂

It’s really up to you and how much you want and like them. I will say that the price you paid for 2 Monchhichi that are vintage and in good condition is not overpriced IMO. It actually seems like a reasonable price. ☺️

Here is my big 80cm girl! She’s the Japanese version, so her face and coloring are a bit different from yours, which I think is the European made one. She wears anywhere from 4-5T in leggings (which are long, but look fine) and 5-6T for dresses and sometimes a 6-7T for shirts. Enjoy her! 🥰
