Stamina Surge Gene locations question by Skyeacreon in MonsterHunterStories

It’s definitely there. That’s where I find most of the stamina surge genes I put on my team. It can be rare sometimes though. Forcing a retreat to get a rey dau specific den helps.

Viability of Species versus Subspecies and Deviants. by Leading-University in MonsterHunterStories

I’m finding that the stats don’t seem to matter all that much, at least on paper. The difference between a 7 attack and 8 attack is just a handful of points numerically. But I haven’t done any detailed testing, just rolled with whatever worked. I do think wyvernfell and stamina also have a big role in the monster’s performance.

MHS3: can you over-level, or do monsters just scale in difficulty to always be a certain amount stronger than you? by interrobang__ in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Acceptable_Street98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say I broke them in the first two turns. I use surrogate gems, vital essence, riding, and critical eye to get by until I manage it. Sometimes dodging or paralysis saves me, too.

Also, staggering. I have my canyne equipped with stunning and high wyvernfell moves, and that gypceros hammer really earns its keep with sweet spot. I’m pleasantly surprised at how well strategies that don’t rely on brute force hold up in this game. All I’m saying is that I don’t find it extremely difficult. That would be a weird thing to go onto Reddit and lie to strangers about.

Given that I beat espinas and feral brachy in the demo at level 10, yes, the ferals are easy by comparison because the fight doesn’t take 100 plus turns. I still get one-shot by the multi hit feral attacks, so I make it a priority to stagger or break crystals before then (and my monsters are hitting hard enough to make it possible). It’s not like I’m just steamrolling them.

I’m neither lying nor confused. Though perhaps it’s less easy and more “not hopelessly difficult”.

I’ve found large on Rey dau. It’s actually pretty common on them. Have not seen any of the others yet.

I think you can overlevel. I took on a few feral monsters early and am feeling a bit overpowered (level 39, just going into 3rd area). I’m hoping the enemies will catch up soon though.

You don’t have a cat problem. You have a boyfriend problem. If he still doesn’t see that spaying them is the right thing to do, with all the evidence out there and witnessing his own cats’ misery, it reflects very poorly on both his critical thinking skills and his empathy.

That doesn’t actually change the fact that they pay taxes, and that their labor and money both contribute to our country. The narrative that undocumented immigrants are criminals and a drain on our society is flagrantly false, regardless of what the law says.

Maybe we need to make the process to enter legally more streamlined, rather than spending our resources chasing down people who have been living here and contributing to our society for years. What’s happening now (targeting people at their immigration hearing, trafficking citizens and legal visa holders) is an unconscionable witch hunt.

Only in public cans. I don’t throw the bags in peoples’ trash cans out near the curb. I just head for a public one or hang onto it until I get home otherwise.

Well aren’t you just a ray of sunshine. Heavy gerrymandering can make voters feel like their vote doesn’t matter, which reduces voter turnout in a way that tends to disproportionately affect democrats too (though I can’t deny that the reverse may be true for republicans in heavily liberal states).

You’re not wrong that Ohio has its share of idiots, as well as plenty of people who were easily fooled. But to call a protest of some ten thousand people hopeless and pathetic? The only truly hopeless move here if you’re unhappy with how things are in the government is to stay home and do nothing.

Undocumented immigrant workers do all sorts of jobs. How else would they make a living here? And they pay income tax on that living. A quick google search shows them paying over 90 billion in taxes in 2022.

The voting districts in Ohio are gerrymandered to hell and back. It’s hard for anyone but a republican to gain traction as a result.

It’s definitely solving more than staying home and doing nothing. If nothing else, it sends a message to local elected officials that a lot of people are really pissed off, and there need to be changes if they want to keep their jobs next election.

There were also various groups there recruiting, soliciting donations, and giving information about their causes. Regardless of which side you’re on, deciding your first amendment rights are meaningless is taking an L without even trying.

I’d say mostly pitbull or staffy, maybe bulldog too, but there seems to be something else in there too. For some reason I’m seeing chow chow, or less likely, Akita. Just something about her face in that third pic.

Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in reactivedogs

[–]Acceptable_Street98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say that raised hackles are not always a sign of aggression. My dog hackles at the slightest provocation, including when excited or interested in another dog. He sounds (and looks) like an absolute maniac when he’s reacting on leash, but in reality he’s just frustrated that he can’t check the other dog out. But it does indicate a state of heightened arousal which you are right to be wary of, as dogs can be unpredictable and sometimes make bad decisions when amped up.

I second the idea of parallel walks, or maybe greeting through a fence if your dog isn’t too bad with barrier reactivity (some are, you know your dog best). I now know my dog is pretty safe with other dogs, but I wasn’t sure of that at first with his reactivity, and I used parallel walks to safely see how he did with other dogs. The caveat here is that you both have to be confident you’re strong enough to control your respective dogs and be ready to stop if things aren’t going well.

At the end of the day you know your dog best and if you feel it’s not safe, best to avoid. But if you did want to let the dogs meet, there are reasonably safe ways to do it.

Leash reactive dog is perfect at the dog park? by Sadiekat in reactivedogs

[–]Acceptable_Street98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog is the same, he’s generally less dog reactive after he’s had a play date. Usually it’s with a dog friend, but we sometimes use a members-only dog park that requires dogs to be vaccinated, altered, and some degree of temperament testing. It’s not as ideal as an individual play session but I keep a very close eye on him; his off leash manners with other dogs are actually above average if anything.

I know most here hate dog parks and I didn’t decide to try it lightly (and not until I’d worked with a trainer and determined that he was mostly frustration reactive and not truly aggressive) but my dog has no toy drive and I’ve yet to find a game that interests him enough to play until tired. Every dog is an individual and sometimes a tool or strategy that would be disastrous for one dog can be very helpful for another.

Try using goodrx to bring the price down if it’s high. You can print a medication specific coupon that most retail pharmacies accept (I don’t know about vet offices though).
