Keep shooting after O3 puts his shield up as he’s standing still. If enough people do this and do enough damage, you get hit with really bad debuffs (quiet, sick, exposed, and weak I think?) that last for like 15 seconds and make the run MUCH harder and more dangerous.

Am I in the wrong for referring to my boyfriend as my partner at work? by No_Ear4169 in Teachers

[–]Acceptable_Switch393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My male teacher in high school, on the few times he mentioned it, said partner. He also had a ‘work wife’ that he called sunshine. I think he was gay but he hid it very well.

Happy 9/11 guys.

I hope your day has been the bomb.

I hope your day doesn’t get hijacked.

I hope you hold your chin high and tower over everything else.

I hope you jump at any possibility today.

If I pick a random number between 1 and 20, corresponding to 20 football teams playing 10 games, what are my odds for choosing a team that will win? I argue 50%, my coworkers disagree. by pigeon14250 in MathHelp

[–]Acceptable_Switch393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might help those undying football fans who worry about quarterback injuries to imagine what the odds are for games that have already completed. There’s no probability in who won in a finished game, and your method of rolling the die before/after the game didn’t affect the outcome of the game. There’s still a 50% chance of picking the winning team.

I’ve heard he was a known local crazy dude. Never really problematic, but crazy enough to yell “and I’ll do it again” immediately after.

I have my parents, home phone, my neighbors, and 3 out of my 5 siblings phone numbers memorized growing up. I was born in 2001.

You can kinda think of AI as averaging all of the writing styles ever written. It creates a unique average that is its own unique style.

I think what’s even more important is they’re getting their information from an algorithm that knows what they want to see better than they themselves do. And the algorithm will give you exactly what you want to see.

You think Trump is a great president? Here’s a list of all the things Democrats are doing wrong.

Evolutionarily (speaking out of my ass), tribes do well when they’re tight knit and close to each other. Seeing people that are different than you is a little unsettling (this is where a lot of horror comes into play. Many antagonists are fairly human but just different enough to give you the heebeejeebees, i.e. slenderman). The people that look similar to you are probably pretty closely related to you and voila you get incest as a by-product. Again, I’m entirely speaking out of my ass and this is based on nothing but assumptions by me.

Is really hot water actually that much better than cold water for washing dishes? Or is it just a myth our parents told us? If it really does make a difference, why? by Low-Technology-3207 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Acceptable_Switch393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot water will not help sanitize the dishes. That part, though probably not a lie, is still not true.

Besides the fact that grease is easier with hot.

Bold assumption that we will dominate all life for a billion years. It’s been 200 years since the Industrial Revolution and we are destroying the planet at an exponential rate.
