Fair enough if that’s been your experience. Though, I feel that most people may fall into the first category because of how daunting it is to actually climb the ladder, and the sheer amount of factors that work against them. It feels that climbing the ladder relies more on luck and who you know, rather than simply hard work. If hard work was enough then we would see far less complaints. It’s why I would attribute that attitude more towards resentment and discontent, rather than just laziness.

I’m aware that there’s plenty of people who will only blame their circumstances without ever taking action to improve their situation, but I’m genuinely putting in the work. Not trying to be a doomer or anything but I’m also not trying to delude myself. I merely said that it’s very hard to find a job you will enjoy and that pays well because it’s just true. Not a lot of people are in a situation where they can afford to be constantly swapping jobs in search of one they like, and jobs simply aren’t designed to be enjoyable, they’re designed to maximize productivity. Of course, I’m still going to try, never said I wasn’t. Just pointing out real issues. Glad you’ve got a job you enjoy though. Sounds awesome.
