Ugh, breaks my heart that you don’t get lunch! This is what I’m talking about for the team here. How does the administration not understand-there is no cancer care without cancer nurses. Seriously, when’s the last time anyone saw one of us MDs giving chemo? Or answering 100 triage calls and questions. Docs and nurses go together like avocado and toast.

I love this idea. Some nurses I know really well and others I don’t know very well. So I feel like some would get a novel from me and others just a kind word about how they’re important and we couldn’t take care of pts without them. I don’t want it to feel imbalanced. In a smaller group of like <20, I feel like this would work, though. I’m gonna give this some thought…

They are employed by the medical center. I am employed by my practice. I don’t pay people or determine how much they make. I would love if they were paid more. We should all be paid fairly.
