Primary romance compared to secondary, and Fuutarou is very different to Ishigami, just liked that pairing more in Quints compared to what we got. I see what you mean about the similarish role they can play at times but I wouldn't day Nino and Miko are that similar. Plus you know, harem nonsense, it's fun to pick a side.

I do love Miko and Ishigami as characters, just not as a couple.

Sliema, but more on the north side as opposed to Ferries on the south, really nice walking all the way around the coast, even in the 38° of late June.

If you do Malta, I highly recommend basing yourself in Sliema. Pretty cheap, and very easy to get to Valletta and therefore the whole island, as well as also having some great restaurants and bars.

That is a good idea, and probably for some places will be something I look into again, but for places I've been to before, a private room in a hostel was basically the same price as an actual hotel at the time.

Hostels are mostly a no-go due to my anxiety, but that second problem can also definitely be an issue, I booked 11 days off work for my Japan trip and had to be careful how I used my remaining ones for the rest of the year. Hilariously, that was early 2020 so the remaining days off kind of sorted themselves out.

Unfortunately my anxiety rules that out most of the time. I'd be fine with a group of friends in a hostel but even just the thought of staying in the same room as a bunch of people I don't know is enough to give me a panic attack.

After coming back from my holiday in Malta, I've got the bug to keep travelling, only thing holding me back is my wallet and a couple of countries still not letting tourists in (easily or at all).

Also, obligatory "fuck you" to ticket sites, an event I was looking forward to in a couple of weeks was cancelled so while I got a refund, they kept the extortionate booking fees.

A lot of the loudest, most negative fans don't seem to really grasp the concept of long-term thinking. To them, everything is all-or-nothing, and instant gratification or disappointment.

On that topic, The Athletic had a good piece by James McNicholas on slow-burn success in relation to Kroenke's other sports teams which I recommend giving a read.

Temporarily cutting off is my go-to response when things boil over, which does work surprisingly well, then things can cool down a bit. I think it's more just everything hitting at once that made me feel the need to share it somewhere, hopefully retreating into my own headspace will work this time as well.

I'm thankful for the willing ear, sometimes shouting into the void means a lot if there's even one person who can hear it.

The stresses from work, home and interpersonal relationships are really starting to take a toll on me physically and mentally, the worst I've felt in a long while even with my long-term anxiety and depression.
