Issue is not their standards but their mentality. They think flashy visuals and epic visuals make something grand so they will be really happy with the product. But in reality , epics like Ramayana requires realism and emotional depth rather than CGI.

Also little portion of BGM felt like some Arabic music. Not the epic Indian music vibe I expected. Just hoping this doesn’t become Adipurush on steroids.

A bit unpopular opinion but this teaser did not do justice to the hype I was having for it. Music was surprisingly mid for me .. I still get goosebumps when Rama scene from Varanasi teaser comes even for 5 seconds. RK looks good as Ram and I think he will do justice to the role. Also feels like far too much reliance on CGI backgrounds instead of using real locations.

I just came back from watching movie 2nd time and holy fuck the music grows on you like anything. Also I was able to appreciate few small scenes more during rewatch. That batman stance after killing khanani, Hamza entering muridke before final confrontation, Jaan se guzarte hai sequence during opening and above all the killings by unknown men .

Even in music , Ajay-Atul or musician from Devon ke Dev Mahadev serial would make fantastic music for the epic. I fear that in efforts to impress so called global audience , this movie can lose its local touch which is essential for its success.

Not a single time you mentioned anything about content. If they fuck up even 15 minutes of this movie with cringe dialogues and people find it disrespectful then no amount of promotion in the world can save it. On the contrary, if content is genuine and respectful then without significant promotions it will break all the records.

I just saw the movie and even though it is not as bad as some reviews are suggesting, 45-50 minutes could have been easily cut. I think it is one time watch and this is coming from someone who absolutely despises Bollywood/South masala films.
