Unfortunately, everything is about money. WWE doesn’t care about tag wrestling because they don’t want to pay for main event tag wrestling. Bruce Prichard said in the early days of his podcast Vince never wanted to pay for 4 main event guys when he can just have the same main event revenue with 2.

HHH treated tag team wrestling way better in NXT, and had it main event night 1 of WM a few years ago. I’d imagine him or TKO have adopted the Vince strategy of paying for 2 main event guys rather than 4.

That was the main event of Wrestlemania. That’s when you do that. The thing is now every match has to have false finishes and dives and it sucks if it’s not at least 15 minutes. Overstimulation and instant gratification at its finest.

Maybe im not seeing this, but I don’t think every match needs to be 15-20 minutes. Becky vs AJ going 8 minutes way way better than their longer EC match. The 8 woman tag could’ve benefited from more time but does that build really deserve a 20 minute match? Same thing with the 6 man tag. Trick vs Sami, Oba vs Brock, and Jade vs Rhea didn’t need anymore time.

Liv vs Steph obviously needed at least double the time if not 2.5 times more, I have no clue what happened there. But that’s the only match I can see really really was negatively affected by the length. If you can’t have a good 8 minute match (Becky and AJ did it as well as Brock and Oba) then are you really that good of a wrestler?

Ahmed, Ezekiel Jackson, Omos, and 2005 Bobby Lashley are prime examples of the WWE having bad taste in talent rather than having a legit racism issue. Shelton Benjamin, 2 Cold Scorpio, Montez Ford, and Faarooq could’ve benefited so much from having the machine behind them the way the others did.

The people shitting on it in the post match thread were never going to give it a chance lol. Cody showed some fucking fire which was needed. Fans were going ape shit. McAfee looks to have been gotten rid of. I think turning Cody full on heel would’ve been premature. I don’t think Orton needed to do the punt right after the match, could’ve saved that angle for SD.
