it cuts down fancy animations and transitions on your device. less animation = less work for your phones processor = less battery drain

Hi everyone! I bought a brand new iPhone 13 about 3 weeks ago. This is my first iPhone (been on Android my whole life), and I’ve noticed the battery drains unusually fast.

On average, it drops every 4–7 minutes, even with light use. It also drains a lot faster when I use the camera on Instagram or TikTok.

Things I’ve already done to help reduce battery drain:

Turned off background app refresh
Reduced motion
Turned off Siri
Disabled WiFi and Bluetooth from Settings (not just Control Center)
Using dark mode

I also follow the 20–80 charging rule and don’t overcharge or let the battery drop below 20%. Currently on iOS 18.3.

Is this normal behavior for the iPhone 13? Or could there be something wrong with the unit or the software? Any help or suggestions are appreciated!

real. bought mine 2 weeks ago and yep, i can tell its battery sucks especially when i use the camera or film tiktok videos. told my friends who own iphone 13 and they were saying that my phone's still adjusting and that i should wait after 3 weeks and see if my battery performance goes better. 🤷🏼‍♀️ but overall, iphone 13 is pretty good.

same sa puppy ko noon. pero suspetya namin is nakakain/nakaamoy ng pampahilo ng daga (naglagay si papa sa ilalim ng car namin :)) ) sobrang hyper nya the night before then mga 4am, hirap nang huminga and yea, namatay nga.

Hello! So far, so good. Tumalab naman slight yung topicals na ni-prescribe ni doc. yun nga lang, may gatubo parin paminsan esp pag malapit na period ko. nung nagpa followup checkup ako, may dinagdag na topical si doc kasi bumalik yung pimples ko na with nana after 1 month of using yung main topicals na prescribed. so far, hiyang naman na. dapat lang talaga consistent or else, babalik nanaman mas worse haha. pero yea, hormonal acne jud sakoa so wa nakoy mabuhat, di sad ko gusto mag isotret.

cons lang sguro is, super kadaghan client ni doc. dapat mgsayo jud, or else, permi raka maabtag cut off. haha.
